17.01.2022 Well everyone, I'm so sorry that I haven't been more interactive on this page up to this point...I have been flat out with creating and launching The Artistic Advantage - Online! Things are starting to quiet now, so over the next little while, I really want to start exploring with all of you! I started this page because really, I've often felt that I'm living in a parallel universe; I am indeed part of the greater "normal" community, but this Artistic Sports community and th...e things we do inside of our lovely cocoon are completely FOREIGN to many of our Non-Sports friends and family...that at times makes us Aliens to everyone except those of us sharing the same experience! We, in the Artistic Sports industry are all in such a new space; with the future looking VERY uncertain; and I am sending love out to all of you (us) who are working feverishly daily to continue being leaders within our communities, saving our businesses and organisations, caring for our athletes and staff, tending to our families, and still trying to innovate our business models to continue giving value and doing what we love, all during a time when health and economics worldwide are still in question! It is and will continue to be quite a lonely existence, right? That's why these are the times when although it seems impossible, we must ALSO carve out time for self-care and maintenance...this is long-haul stuff, and we, traditionally have been TERRIBLE about caring for ourselves... Now, more than ever before, if we want to have the mental, emotional and physical strength to ride this upcoming wave, we MUST put ourselves at the CENTRE of our own particular universe, and LOOK. AFTER. OURSELVES -- FIRST. Everyone is counting on us...WE are counting on us... Let's use this crazy time where everything is upside down on its head, to maybe shift our paradigm just a wee bit.. Rest is not weakness... Leaving something until tomorrow is not weakness... Saying NO is not weakness... Breaking down is not weakness... Needing to take care of our physical health with regular exercise and good food is not weakness... All of these things are proof that we are HUMAN! These are blessings of our human genetics; the way our body and brain have developed to firm up our defences, and arm ourselves for the "battle" ahead... Take the time to listen...REALLY listen to what your body and brain are saying; then give it what it needs! If you do that, then your body and brain will respond by giving you what you need...the POWER to take on what's coming! We are Strong.. We have Got This... We just have to be strategic and smart with how we use and refresh our energy! I'm so honoured to share the planet with people like you...
