25.01.2022 Eight Revolutionary Ideas Rooted In The Arrowsmith Program, By: Howard Eaton, Ed.M., Director, Eaton Arrowsmith Schools (Link to full article below) "These are the top eight revolutionary ideas rooted in the Arrowsmith Program that we must all understand and when possible, should be shared with parents, educators, psychologists, psychiatrists, medical doctors, speech-language specialists and all those involved in the well-being of children and adults who struggle to learn."... - Howard Eaton "The Arrowsmith Program is building an important bridge between neuroscience and education. This is important as most teachers (90%) believe that knowledge of the brain is important when designing educational programs.[vi]" "The following words highlight what I know Barbara Arrowsmith-Young has brought to the field of Learning Disabilities and Neuroscience. These are revolutionary, paradigm shifting ideas that I hope will one day be common place in public schools around the world; that indeed children and adults of all socioeconomic backgrounds, who are struggling in school, will have open and free access to cognitive intervention solutions like the Arrowsmith Program. 19.01.2022 Nice message from an Arrowsmith school in the Northern hemisphere who are in the middle of their school year

18.01.2022 Adelaide Parents and Friends Advocacy Group for Arrowsmith Program in South Australia had the privilege of hosting the founder of the Arrowsmith Program Barbara Arrowsmith-Young in Adelaide recently. Barbara spent time at Marryatville Primary School with the Students in their Arrowsmith classroom and then met with staff to discuss the program. We were excited to see over 170 people join us to hear Barbara present the latest round of peer-reviewed research of the Arrowsmith Pr...ogram. Barbara joined the panel discussion together with Mitchell Burns - current student in his last year of the program, Mark Burns - Parent, and Executive Director of Arrowsmith - Debbie Gilmore, answering questions from the audience. We also heard from Lacy London (former Arrowsmith Student - 3years) and his mum Angela. They discussed the many supports/interventions they tried with Lacy before the Arrowsmith Program, Angela then shared examples of his writing at the beginning of his journey and after completing his program at the end of last year. What a remarkable difference, well done Lacy. We are proud of you. Barbara then signed copies of her updated bestseller 'The Woman Who Changed Her Brain' and answered questions. We would sincerely like to thank all of those who came to hear Barbara talk and give a very special thank you to Barbara for visiting Adelaide. We look forward to seeing her the next time she is in Adelaide. #education #learningdisabilities #transforminglives #changetheconversation #BarbaraArrowsmithYoungTour #ArrowsmithAdvocacyGroupforSA #students #neuroplasticity #MostlyBooks #RegalTheatreAdelaide

06.01.2022 In How We Learn, Stanislas Dehaene decodes the brains biological mechanisms, delving into the neuronal, synaptic, and molecular processes taking place. He explains why youth is such a sensitive period, during which brain plasticity is maximal, but assures us that our abilities continue into adulthood and that we can enhance our learning and memory at any age. We can all learn to learn by taking maximal advantage of the four pillars of the brains learning algorithm: attention, active engagement, error feedback, and consolidation. -Penguin Random House
