23.01.2022 I started at the museum in 2010. Of course the museum began its life in 1975 so a lot of what you see today was started in one form or another by the people that preceded me. All the administrations from 1975 onward contributed projects or infrastructures that were refined or expanded on by the next administration. Some of the projects started were good, some not so. But credit should always be given to those that put in the effort to make the place better in their time at the museum. These photos are from 2006 and Trevor Brown was the person who set about creating and restoring parts of the museum. I will over the next few weeks take you back in time and you can have a look at how various projects took shape. And to all of the people in these photos that made a contribution in time or labour...... many thanks. Russell

23.01.2022 Well recommended. https://www.facebook.com/riverbendcaravanpark/

18.01.2022 More photos of the great work done by our predecessors. As this is national volunteers week I would like to say "thank-you" to all those who had a hand in what the museum has become...... couldn't have done it without you all.

17.01.2022 Oh my!!! the way things are going this may well happen.

11.01.2022 Continuing on with some more 'then now and along the way' photos. A little like life really, everything changes so quickly and you dont really notice its changing. Nice to look back at the old stuff now and again. As always a big thank-you to all who sweated doing this stuff.

09.01.2022 We are currently having a hard time....... It is nothing compared to the time they had. Lest We Forget

07.01.2022 This is excellent!

07.01.2022 This year the museum celebrates its 45th year, and that's not a bad effort. I would like to thank everyone that has played a part in the museums development. Over the years we have had many volunteers (well over 150) and many work for the dole participants who have worked hard to make the place what it is today. I would also like to thank the many visitors that i had a chance to chat with during my time there, it was a pleasure and a privilege. Looking forward to another 45 years.

05.01.2022 And just a reminder of 'what the museum has become'

03.01.2022 Some more photos of how things transitioned from one administration to the next. It is always very satisfying to look back at the 'then & now' stuff to keep a perspective of not only what has changed but the people who created the change as well. As always I thank everyone that was involved over the course of all these years.

02.01.2022 Continuing with the previous post, this is the restoration of the Sonnemanns truck from the early restoration by the Paringa Mens shed through to the further restoration by the Renmark Paringa Community Museum. A splendid effort by all concerned and credit is always given to those that deserve it.
