18.01.2022 Dear Paris Cat Family, Some really great news released yesterday :) Restrictions have eased further, allowing us to have 40 patrons into each show and these now can be sold individually.... Tables can now be shared (Masks inside are still mandatory as well as QR code record keeping as you enter). No longer will guests need to purchase a table for 4. In saying this any guests that have already purchased a table for 4, these will be honoured. We appreciate your continued patience and understanding with this changing environment! We are excited restrictions have eased further and so very proud of the incredible achievement Victorians have made! Please head to our website to view our 2020 program and secure your individual tickets online! Stay tuned for our January/February program which will be released in the coming weeks! Sincerely, The Paris Cat Team

16.01.2022 To our loyal Patrons, Last weeks government announcement came as a shock as we were gearing up to re-open our doors safely. To say that our Paris Cat Family were deflated is an understatement. However we again have made the difficult, but necessary decision to keep our doors closed for now; it is the right thing to do as we collectively battle to curb the spread and impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on our community. We promise to re-open our doors and fill our rooms and our l...aneway with live music as soon as its safe to do so. Our post COVID temporary business model is ready to go, our staff are ready to pour you a cocktail and our musicians are waiting patiently to entertain you! Many industries have been compromised by the COVID-19, especially with this second wave in Victoria. We are asking very humbly, for those of you that love what we do for the live music industry in Melbourne and are in a position to make a small donation, we would be so very grateful for your support! We have set up 2 donations options via our website; the first is a $100 donation and the other is a $300 donation. For everyone that donates, a Thank You page will be set up on our website, acknowledging those that made a donation. If you wish to remain anonymous, simply mention this in the comments section. Those that choose to donate $300, will be placed on a Paris Cat COVID-19 Jazz Supporter plaque in our Gallery Room. This will be an acknowledgment for those who have helped support our beloved venue throughout these unprecedented times. Here is the Donation link: https://roller.app/pariscat/product/456187 We also offer Paris Cat Gift Vouchers via this link: https://roller.app/pariscat/GiftCards/#/sales/60927/gift for those that would like to support by purchasing one of these vouchers for a future performance. These can also be used over the bar for food and beverages. Our closure period will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and I promise to keep you updated. We have our fingers and toes crossed that we can re-open for September! For now, we encourage everyone to continue to follow the advice and directives of government health authorities. For the most up-to-date information and advice, visit coronavirus.vic.gov.au. From our Paris Cat Family to yours - stay safe, patient, healthy and be kind. Xx See more

15.01.2022 Its with a very heavy heart that The Paris Cat has tonight announced the closure of our beloved venue and postponed scheduled performances for the next 4 weeks. This will remain in effect until the weekend after Easter and we will re-open on Wednesday April 15th. A decision on any potential further closure will be taken into consideration with any developments in the COVID-19 situation. This action has been taken based on the rapidly unfolding events of the last few days and... now due to a new ban on any indoor social gatherings of 100 people or more and the restrictions enforced for social distancing. The health and well being of our Paris Cat audiences, dedicated staff and musicians are our number one priority. Pls be assured we will return stronger than ever! This is an extremely difficult time for so many industries and our hearts go out to all who are effected and suffering at this time. The club will be crediting all tickets purchased towards any future show. There is no time frame on these credits. Simply retain the email which we will send to each patron individually shortly and let me know when you wish to attend another a future performance. Please note that our ticketing company have been inundated and we will attend to any enquires via email as quick as possible. The entire Paris Cat Team send our love, strength and good health throughout this distressing time! We thank you for your understanding and on-going support of the club, our staff, all our musicians and to live music in Melbourne! Sincerely, Serge & Liz Carnovale The Paris Cat Team

15.01.2022 The Paris Cat is re-opening its doors on July 9th! We'd like to sincerely thank all our loyal patrons for your love and support throughout this challenging time! With a temporary post COVID business model, we are excited to finally bring live music back to the Cat! I can assure you the Paris Cat Team and our beloved Musicians have missed you all immensely.... Our Post COVID model we will be temporarily introducing on July 9th will look a little different and has been structured to keep within the government’s social distancing restrictions. These measures have been put in place to keep you safe and also to make it viable for our venue to re-open and for our Musicians to play! Instead of booking single tickets online to our shows, we will be offering patrons to purchase a table for 4 online. No longer will individual tickets be sold under this temporary model. (So please grab a table & some friends and come enjoy a special night of Live Jazz!) If you wish to attend as a couple you are welcome to do this, however you will need to pay a premium price to secure a table just for two. This has been temporarily implemented into our Paris Cat model to ensure we can fill a show and also abide by the social distancing measures in place - Please remember it is via the ticket price that our bands are paid. Our early weekend shows will now commence at 6.30pm - doors open at 6pm. Our weekend Loft performance will be held at 9pm - doors open at 8.30pm. Our Gallery Bar will remain closed at this stage. We will be introducing Tasting Platters for 4. Antipasto and a Vegetarian options available, along with a new simplified beverage menu. The club will be hygienically cleaned throughout performances and between shows. Hand Sanitiser will be available at each bar and our front entrance. Guests names and contact details will be recorded upon entry. We are thrilled to re-open and bring Live Music back to our beloved Melbourne scene! 01.01.2022 Dear Paris Cat Family, I’ve had many enquiries yesterday on when we plan to re-open our doors! It’s with great disappointment and frustration I have to inform you that under the Government re-opening conditions outlaid Monday, we are unable to host any Live Music inside and as a hospitality business are only allowed 10 patrons per space inside under both the 20 and 40 venue capacity limit.... This unfortunately makes it not viable for us to trade and obviously having no Live Music permitted inside, there is no reason for us to open. Attached is the bullet point information for your perusal of these latest restrictions below. You will see that Live Music is permitted outdoors at hospitality venues, BUT the band members are to be included in the patron capacity limit. With no guideline yet as to when we can re-open indoors, I’m hesitant to re-book any acts until this is outlined clearly. I always try to remain optimistic (although feeling very frustrated at the moment) and hope that we will be given the opportunity to trade safely soon, but for now I will wait and see how things unfold over the next few weeks. I have no doubt once we announce that we are re-opening our doors to our beloved Paris Cat Community - shows will be sold out very quickly! We have many enquiries patiently waiting for news of this. Although it appears at this stage our Live Music Industry seems to have been put on the shelf with no clear map forward on when we can re-open indoors and be given a chance to trade safely and our Musicians can get back to doing what they do bestplaying live music in a safe environment and earning a living! Fingers crossed a timeline for our re-opening is set soon for us :) Sincerely, Liz Wilmot Carnovale xx
