25.01.2022 Today is such a beautiful day I'm sure you'd all agree. Feels like a new beginning is in the air. How fitting for today the first day of Holy Week. Have a blessed Holy Week to all friends and parishioners although it won't be easy- especially to those who may be struggling. We all have noticed that the lead up to Easter always shows us our demons and we have to face realities with the approaching resurrection Praying for our churches to open so we can receive the blessings we all so desperately long for while in physical attendance God bless and thank you

23.01.2022 Good morning Today is 40 days after Easter. It is a feast day as we conclude the Easter feast with the Apodosis (leaving) of Pascha (Easter). It is the last day where we can greet each other with 'Christ is Risen' and the last day that we say 'Christ is Risen' in our church services. It is also the Feast day of St.John the Russian today and may he intercede for us.... I hope you are all taking advantage of the churches being opened via appointment... Please contact your local parish for an appointment to join in a service or for any other spiritual enquiry God bless

23.01.2022 Good things take time to come. They might not get better today or tomorrow or the next day. But that’s okay. Sometimes the struggles we go through are intended to make us better people. Only God knows what is Truly best for us. Even if we don’t understand what is happening in the moment, we must always try and hope that God will have our back, no matter what. If we try our best to overcome our negative thoughts by having patience and hope; we will come to see the good in al...l things and situations. - this is a quote from the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia Book Centre Victoria Facebook page. Thank you GOAA bookshop blessed weekend to all and looking forward to a blessed week to come

20.01.2022 Good morning and have a good weekend to all. Hopefully out churches will be back to normal sooner than later! Today is St.Marina's Day. She was martyred as a young teenager under the rule of Diocletian. Born to pagans, her nanny raised her in the faith and St. Marina was persecuted after intense torture couldn't make her renounce Christ.... She is a strong Saint who performs miracles to this day, has baby lullabies named after her and she is a protector against demonic forces. The attached link is a sermon calling on St.Marina. Intercede for us St.Marina and happy nameday to all named after her. https://www.google.com.au/url

God is always waiting for us before... we even turn to Him... There is a door in the Holy Land that stands to this day and it commemorates Saint Mary of Egypt's entrance to the church and her penitence and rejection of her way of life beforehand...

10.01.2022 Today is All Saints Day and the Preston parish is still closed to the faithful until next month due to the corona virus... if you have any enquiries contact Rev. Father Vasilios... Channel 31 is streaming an absolutely beautiful service and I encourage anyone at home reading this right now to switch the tv over to the service... I've also been reading in other Christian pages on Facebook and have noticed similar messages popping up regarding God's will... I realise that I fi...ght and stew over things that I want - I chase them down and try to gain what I want or dream of... and i complain and get frustrated about things that i deem important to me- things i expect to have, things that I believe that I deserve ... anyone else who is guilty of this should stop... we are wrong to do this... He doesn't ignore your prayers- He knows what we are meant to have and we need to trust Him more! Take the leap with me today and have a great week- with trust that God's will is being done in our favour!! See more

She was born and died in Alexandria, Egypt and was a great Christian after Christ came to her in a vision and put a ring on her finger, saying she was a bride of Christ...... St. Catherine then went on to cause many pagans to convert as they saw her suffer a series of tremendous tortures by the ruler of the time because she wouldn't give up her faith... Great scholars and minds of the day came to reason her out of her faith yet she ended up having them convert.
