24.01.2022 Positive Behaviour for Learning Golden Ticket Draw Congratulations to Kiana (pictured with yr coordinator and learning together team member Ms Spilsbury) who along with Richard have each won a $500 gift voucher for JB HIFI. To be eligible for the draw both Kiana and Richard accrued merit points across the year for displaying the schools' values of being here to: Learn, Work Together and Do What is Right. Drawn from hundreds of names, Richard and Kiana were our lucky winners and we know they'll put their prizes to good use.

21.01.2022 Over the last few weeks students in year 7 - 10 have been engaging in the Bite Back Challenge from The Block Dog Institute. They have been looking at ways to improve their mental fitness. Ask them about how they show gratitude, what their character strengths are or even how they practice mindfulness. Maybe you'd like to do the activities with them. By the end of term, they should have a fun mental fitness plan that they can share with you too! https://www.biteback.org.au/MentalFitnessChalle/FindOutMore

14.01.2022 The Humanities department presents What happened this week in History? 11th November 1918 Remembrance Day - the end of hostilities of WWI. At 11 am on 11th November 1918 the guns on the Western Front fell silent after more than four years of continuous warfare. The tradition of Remembrance Day evolved out of Armistice Day. The Australian and British governments changed the name to Remembrance Day after the end of the Second World War. It is a day where we acknowledge and pay respects to the soldiers who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts. Can you answer this question? Where in Australia is the unknown soldier buried? First correct answer email to [email protected] goes into the draw to win a prize.

11.01.2022 Over the last two weeks, the year 10 Photography students have been completing daily challenges for our unit on Food Photography. At the beginning of each lesson, students were talked through a design brief for specific companies who needed photographs taken for a magazine. Our businesses included: Fruit Drink Creations, Children's Party Productions, Bentley's Pattiserie, Cupcake Creations and Beached Donuts. The students were not just photographers, they were set designers, lighting technicians and editors. They have done an outstanding job and had an incredible amount of fun in the process.
