24.01.2022 Great win by the 2nd team against Mentone 103-59. All teams won convincingly. Good win by our 3rd team against Mordialloc 73-64. Unfortunately our 1sts not so lucky against Ashwood with only one rink winning. Well done to everyone showing the Parkdale spirit of trying our hardest and the excellent team work. Lovely to all come back to the club & enjoy the nibbles

23.01.2022 The Bendigo Bank has been a tremendous supporter of our bowls club over many years. As such, I would urge all members and friends to consider using the services of Bendigo Bank across the range of services they offer, including general banking, insurance or loans. Ive included with this invitation, a flyer from Bendigo Bank promoting their Spring Home Loan campaign. The key messaging is: Its so easy to set and forget. With a little extra leisure time on your hands at home, why not review your home loan situation? We are locally owned and operated and offer incredibly competitive rates, with a unique community banking model that shares profits. Real stories, making a real difference for real people. Bank with Parkdale Community Bank and make a difference to your community.
23.01.2022 As our Coach Haydn said last week ‘the biggest "weekend" in Parkdale bowls history’ as we had 4 teams in the Penannt finals. Congratulations to all teams for a fantastic achievement this season! The results for the Saturday semis - Parkdale 1st’s and 3rd’s moved into the GF Sunday. The 2nd’s and combined 4th’s unfortunately lost their respective games. The results Sunday ... the 3rds fought hard but lost to Cardina Waters after 2 shots behind half time. The 1sts won against Coatesville after a draw, needing to play another round of ends.... very tense game!!! Great celebrations at the club Sunday night. Now it continues this week with midweek finals with the 1sts and 2nds playing! Good Luck teams
22.01.2022 After a drizzly start to the day the Parkdale Side 2 team had a great win over Elsternwick. 2 teams had a convincing win over their teams and our team lost by 4 pts on the 2nd last end. Overall we won 59 to 38. Unfortunately the 3rd team playing Black Rock not so lucky going down by 20pts.

21.01.2022 Just like Winx today we started slow and came home strong in the end. All three sides got a win today for the first Saturday pennant game of the season. The top side got up by 28 shots after only leading by 2 at the break. We also welcomed 6 new players who played at Parkdale today. Great way to start the season! #ParkdaleBowls #Parkdale
20.01.2022 Great wins by all 3 teams today! Side 1 against Hampton RSL away, Side 2 against Burden Park at home and Side 3 against Hampton at home too. We can all rest up out of the 31C heat now!
20.01.2022 A lovely sunny day at Parkdale had all three Saturday pennant teams playing at home with the third side getting a walk over and having an intra-club practice match. Over on the div 2 rinks Burwood District got away to a good start and were up 3 shots at the break, we put in a valiant effort to fight back with one rink clawing back 13 shots. It wasn't to be though with Burwood District getting up by 8 shots in the end. Over on the div 4 rinks we had a great day with with 3 rinks up and the final score 84-73 against Hampton Park. Special shout out to Mary, Jeanette, Blake and Jim with an 8 shot end! We had a great atmosphere all day and was good to see all teams playing well and enjoying themselves.
20.01.2022 We had a long journey up to Middle Park Bowling Club yesterday where we faced into ever changing weather conditions, battling the rain and wind with an occasional spot of sunshine. We came out with a very strong start with Kyle starring with his brand new bowls and had a comfortable ~20 shot leas heading into the break. After the huddle at half time we set ourselves up with the goal to walk away with all 18 points. We picked up some big numbers in the second half (dropped a couple too) but we got all four teams over the line second half to claim the 18 points and the victory.
19.01.2022 Glorious day to bowl at sunny Parkdale. Team 2 playing Dandy Club and doing very well. All teams in front . Won overall 62 - 35. Third team lost to Highett in a close game 39 - 35.
19.01.2022 Our new bar has been officially opened & christened Charlies Bar after a long-standing member of the club. Thanks to all who came to celebrate.
19.01.2022 Congratulations Parkdale BC on hosting the 2nd day of the Sandbelt Over 60’s Men’s Doubles competition in glorious sunshine. The grounds look terrific. We had 4 teams play yesterday and 3 were successful to play today. All good quality games played this morning against exceptional opposition ... again close finishes to the final shots! One doubles team has been successful to play this arvo. Will let you know the results soon.

16.01.2022 Great win by Parkdale Side 2 beating Mordialloc away today! 3 of 4 teams a win - unlucky one team lost by 1pt on the last end. Great team work!
15.01.2022 Congratulations Parkdale Division 4 Section 8 team for their win for the season. Outstanding achievement by all team members!!!!
15.01.2022 A lovely night for Barefoot Bowls at the club. Always a social occasion - plenty of laughs, some serious competitive teams and of course the fantastic supper supplied by the ladies. 14.01.2022 Wow! Parkdale BSC has a new electronic gate to enter our carpark. Plus there is a side pedestrian gate on the left ( not in the photo). Thanks goes to Bendigo Bank for their valued sponsorship so we can continually upgrade our facilities. Can’t wait to get back to bowling
14.01.2022 We started the afternoon with a goal to walk away with the win and we set ourselves up for success early with three rinks up at the break with the other rink not too far behind. Beaumaris came out swinging after half time claiming shots back on all rinks. With a solid wis on two rinks it put us clear on the board taking the win and 14 points, breaking our losing streak away.
14.01.2022 Nothing short of a great team effort today after going down to a grand finalist from last year on their home turf by only a few shots. We got as close as three shots with a few ends to go but Clayton finished strong getting over the line by five in the end. We had two rinks up so we do claim some points away from them and we showed some great promise against a very strong side away.
13.01.2022 A disappointing loss for the 1s today. Playing away at Coatesville trailing by only a couple of shots at the break, fought back to be 6 shots up with 4 ends to go. With two rinks dropping a 5 on the last end it saw us going down by 3 shots overall. We picked up the points on two rinks which is a bonus and it shows we are amongst the top of the league. The focus now turns to Beaumaris as we play them away next week looking for a strong win.
13.01.2022 Don’t forget this coming Thursday 10th October our Barefoot Bowls competition starts again at 7pm! Always a fun occasion where you learn new skills, apply old skills, meet new friends and generally enjoy the vibe
12.01.2022 Back in the driver's seat after consecutive wins against Sandringham at home and away on the grass. All four rinks got up in the end with some good displays of control on the grass. Puts us in a good position for the start of the 2018/19 season. Thanks to Sandringham for hosting us, was a great battle. #ParkdaleBowls #PreSeason
12.01.2022 New season, new shirts, new bowlers, same great club. With a nail-biting finish in both the division 2 and division 4 games, the club has started the season off with a bang! Sporting our new shirts and welcoming Peter into our top side, Nigel into the seconds and Darren playing his first Weekend Pennant game - all 4 sides saw a win. Our division 7 sides both had victory defeating Cardinia Waters and Moorabbin. Great start to the 2019/20 bowls season!
12.01.2022 Unfortunately all regional finals have been postponed again due to the surge of Covid-19. Stay tuned for further details.
12.01.2022 Well done Parkdale. First team beat Coatesville 99-66 3 teams winning, 2nd team beat Narre Warren 75-72 wiv 3 teams winning and gallant effort by the 3rd side to go down at Keysborough by 13pts. Well done teams.
11.01.2022 Parkdale Bowls Club is delighted to have the fabulous support of Parkdale Community Bank - particularly during these challenging times.
11.01.2022 Well Done Parkdale 2nds for a great comeback, after trailing all game, to beat Royal Melbourne who are top of the ladder, by 1 shot! Jim Walker you are star wiv 2pts on the last shot of the day to put us in front. Great result.
10.01.2022 Good Luck Saturday’s Team for the regional final to be played at Moorabbin against Melbourne BC Saturday 27th. Also Team 2 mid week regional final to play Hawthorn at Cheltenham on Tuesday 30th. games go ahead.
09.01.2022 Matched up against Div 1 bowlers from Armadale earlier this week, Mick and Bruce were competing in the Sandbelt Region Over 60s Paris finals. After getting an early lead at the second end, the pair never lost the lead after that. They ended up winning 14-10 and are on their way to the state final in Frankston in December. Whilst Bruce claimed he was the better of the two, Mick claims it was a team effort. Regardless of how they got the win, they have done the club proud and we fully support them next month.
08.01.2022 Dont forget members to come and view the Mens, Womens and New Bowlers Championships being played at 10am this coming Sunday. Weather forecast looks like a great setting for the event. Good Luck to those playing off in the finals.
07.01.2022 Last weekend, for the first time in it's HISTORY, Parkdale Bowling & Social Club, made their way into Division 1 after defeating Coatesville in their section fi...nal! It was a nail biting game with the lead swinging back and forth, but after all ends were completed, the sides were locked at 82, which meant a playoff was needed to get a result. The Parkdale Bowling & Social Club champions won all four rinks in the one end playoff! . Celebrations were in full swing as not only did the top side gain a promotion, but the thirds side also defeated Mordialloc to move up the ranks to Division 6. Congratulations Parkdale Bowling & Social Club, what a well deserved win. . Parkdale/Mentone East Community Branch continues to be a proud supporter of this incredible community club. . . . . #bowlsforthewin #socialclub #bowlingclub #bowls #winnersaregrinners #communityclub #lawnbowls #community #supportingyourcommunity #winmeattrays #experiencebowls See more
07.01.2022 Marvelous effort by our top side this week getting 3 rinks and the victory against the former division 1 side Ashburton. After leading by 4 at the break, we were down by 8 shots with just a few ends to go. Fortunately a series of shots across all rinks at the death good us over the line by 6. Great effort by the side. Our second side got up over Mentone by 39 shots with all rinks up.
04.01.2022 Parkdale Bowling and Social Club would like to thank Mark Dreyfus MP for his continual support.
04.01.2022 Fabulous night for bowls at Sunny Parkdale.
03.01.2022 Good win by Parkdale first side Tuesday against Beaumaris. 2 teams had very good wins. Overall 88 - 44. Well done all!Good win by Parkdale first side Tuesday against Beaumaris. 2 teams had very good wins. Overall 88 - 44. Well done all!
02.01.2022 Battling the heat and blustery conditions we were aiming for a strong win at home against Edithvale to send us into the top 4 before we reach the half way point in the season. Young Blake McKenzie was playing his first game in the ones and is potentially the youngest player to have played pennant in our the top side in club history. The ones got out to a strong lead with three of the four teams up at the break. We lost traction on a couple of rinks and one had a strong fight back and ended up getting three sides up with a 21 shot victory securing 16 points for the day. Over on the seconds rinks we had a strong win against Noble Park getting all four teams up winning 94 -56 fantastic effort getting both sides up at home today.
02.01.2022 Congratulations Parkdale side 2 for defeating Bentleigh in the semi final today by 10shots 63 - 53. Unfortunately the 1st side went down by 11 shots against Cheltenham after being infront half time. Now we have to wait for Bowls Victoria to decide what happens now for the finals!!!
