25.01.2022 A BIG welcome back to the 3 year old Turtles group and all the 4 year olds who are starting to return to kinder. Now that winter is here, don't forget to pack the kids some wet weather gear (gumboots, raincoat and even a brolly if you want). Playing in the yard during winter is such an important sensory experience and heaps of fun. A change of dry clothes in their bag is also a good idea!

24.01.2022 To further support our preschool we are participating in a fundraising and recycling "Bag It and Bin It" collection campaign. If you have any unwanted clothing, underwear, jackets, paired shoes, sheets, towels, etc (A full list will be provided) please consider donating these to the preschool collection. For each kilogram we receive we will earn $$$ for our preschool. Simply gather all your unwanted items into a bag and place them into the bin (pictured) in the preschool entrance. 23.01.2022 Our picture plate virtual fundraiser is well under way. Do you still have your plate from when you were a child? How many have your family collected over the years? 22.01.2022 Parents - you are invited to join the kids for an end of year celebration morning-tea/lunch at the kinder! This is a chance for the children to celebrate the end of year with a party to acknowledge all of their patience, understanding and resilience they have displayed this year. Please bring your own lunch/snack. (To keep with Covid guidelines, we'll be holding this in the yard, so please bring a picnic rug, understand that we may need to cancel in the event of bad weather, and no more than 2 visitors per family please!)

The 20 mins family photoshoot is normally priced at $95 For this weekend only you can book it for $49! Each photoshoot includes: 20 min photoshoot... 1 photo as a digital download. Any additional photos will be available for $49 each. $30 from each booking goes to Parkdale Preschool! KristynaHess Photography has developed a formula to create beautiful family portraits while following all Lockdown restrictions. 14.01.2022 Well done Parkdale!! We've raised $240 from our wine fundraiser. The funds raised will be used to purchase new indigenous Australian resources for our preschool. Prospect Wines were so impressed with our fundraising efforts that they have extended our fundraiser indefinitely!! So we are able to order throughout the year with funds being donated back to kinder. For a short time the bonus offer has been extended so we will receive $60 for every 12 bottles of wine sold! 08.01.2022 From Monday 2nd until Friday 13th November Parkdale Preschool will be hosting a Scholastic Bookfair. There will be a great selection of books available for purchase, so why not start your Christmas shopping early or simply treat your kids! A portion of funds raised will go directly towards our preschool to grow our own book library and resources.

04.01.2022 In case you are wondering about the last sessions for 2020, here are the final session days for each of the groups. In each case, these will be the normal session times for that day (Turtles: 8:30-1:30pm, Seastars: 8.30-4pm, Dolphins: 2pm-4.30pm). More info to follow about an end of year party for each of the groups (we're waiting for some advice from the department on what's allowed!).

04.01.2022 WATER PLAY Not only a great way to cool down on a hot summers day, water play builds the foundation in preschoolers for various scientific concepts, such as measurements, volume, motion and numeracy.

04.01.2022 Coming in 2021 is our Neighbourhood Explorers program for our four year old groups. The program involves excursions and outings in Term 2 and 3 where children become explorers of our local community.
