22.01.2022 With the heavy rain fall in Townsville this week, we have been called out many times for power outages that involves a wet switchboard, this is a very dangers condition as the surface of the circuit breakers and any plastic parts could become live. If you have lost some or all your power Never open the switchboard if you need to stand in water or the rain can enter when the door is open. If there is a burning small or you can hear strange noises CALL AN ELECTRICAL CONTR...ACTOR. If there is water inside the switchboard DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING AND CALL AN ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR, as the surface of the circuit breaker could be live. In some cases, the electrical contractor may require ergon to disconnect power so it is safe to repair the switchboard and in other cases it may not be able to be fixed and your power may be left disconnected until after the wet and the switchboard is replaced. Always call an Electrical Contractor for work on your home, the Electrical Contractor will call Ergon if required. Parkers Electrical NQ https://parkerselectricalnq.com.au

19.01.2022 THIS IS A MUST WATCH FOR EVERYONE!!!! Electricians learn this in first year, but everyone needs to know the dangers of falling power lines. This should be taught this at school as the risk of elect shock is extremely high. Call 000
19.01.2022 Just when we think we’ve seen it all, there’s this. A would-be copper thief has used an axe to chop into live wires carrying 11,000 volts of electricity on the ...Energex network. The stunt nearly cost this fool their life and also cut power to more than 800 homes and businesses. You can see the hack marks from the axe on the pole and cable, as well as scorch marks from the flashover. Police are investigating, there are also concerns about the wellbeing of the offender: they’ve likely received significant burns, and they’ve been incredibly lucky to escape with their life. This extremely dangerous and stupid activity for minimal reward isn’t confined to SEQ attempted copper theft also happens on our network. If you spot someone being shady around our poles and wires, please call police immediately you could save a life.

13.01.2022 Poorly maintained solar power systems can be a fire risk. Have a licensed electrical contractor check the safety of your system annually and make any necessary ...repairs. While they are at your property they can clean the panels and check the performance to keep the system efficient. Keep your home safe and enjoy many more years of efficient solar power! See more
