24.01.2022 With the festive period almost upon us, we're currently adding christmas cheer music to our catalogue :) WANTED! Woodwind, percussion and brass players to join our band :) The Parkerville Community Band is looking for brass, woodwind, strings and percussion players and is tailored to young musicians with 6 months to 1 year of experience and people who played a while ago and want to restart. Musicians with more experience are very welcome to attend. The band meets in the Pa...rkerville Hall at 2170 Seaborne St on Mondays between 4pm 5pm. The band is conducted by the Perth Hills and Wheatbelt Band’s musical director Peter Hind and administered locally with some support from the Perth Hills and Wheatbelt Band. The band aims to create opportunities for young musicians to play in a larger group and experience the enrichment that participating in a large ensemble provides. It is envisaged that the band will work towards performing in local events in the near future. The band will develop the music reading skills, musicality, teamwork and confidence of its members.
