22.01.2022 Student of the Week Week 6, Term 4 Ryan Went-3H Ryan is a pleasure to teach. He always strives hard to be make sure that everyone he meets feels valued and happy. Ryan is a respectful, responsible and safe student. He should feel proud of his kind and caring nature.

21.01.2022 Kindergarten Orientation This week, 2021 Kindergarten Orientation will be held on Thursday 19th November. Please drop children off at the Kindergarten gate on Hill street at 9am. The session concludes at 12pm. Please note, there will be NO Preps this Thursday afternoon due to the Orientation session in the morning. As the children will be playing in the playground during their stay we ask that they wear closed in shoes. Thank you

16.01.2022 Attention K-2 parents! We are holding our annual K-2 Christmas Social on Friday, 4th December during school hours. Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions parents/carers are unable to attend. Students are encouraged to wear sun-safe, sensible, Christmas themed mufti for the day. Notes with all the information will be coming home today or tomorrow.

16.01.2022 A case of chickenpox has been diagnosed at Parkes Public School. Chickenpox is a viral illness which begins with a sudden onset of slight fever, runny nose, feeling generally unwell and a skin rash. The rash appears over 3-4 days. Symptoms usually occur 2 weeks after exposure to the virus. Please watch your child for symptoms over the next 2 weeks and seek medical advice if necessary. Coral O’Neill Principal

14.01.2022 Year 2 Parents/Carers, Please remember that Year 2 Intensive Swimming begins Monday 30 November through to Friday 11 December. Your child will need to come to school wearing their swimmers underneath their school uniform. They will also need a clearly labelled plastic bag with: dry underpants to change into later, a towel, thongs (only to wear to and from the pool), a broad brimmed hat, sunscreen and a sun safe shirt that covers shoulders.... Thank you for your assistance!
