14.01.2022 Meet Council's Manager of Facilities, Sharon Ross. Sharon says the recognition of 'Always Was, Always Will Be' is important to her in celebrating her aboriginal history, identity and culture. One of my ancestors is No 34 in the register for the Parramatta Native Institution - taken from her clan group and culture at the age of approximately 8. She was from Burramattagal Clan of the Darug Nation and to me it was fantastic to hear Burramattagal land recognised in the Welcome to Country for the recent NRL Grand Final. #NAIDOC2020

04.01.2022 This week is National Recycling Week, an important opportunity for councils, workplaces, schools and individuals to improve their recycling knowledge, build better recycling habits and build trust in recycling. This year's theme is 'Recovery - A future beyond the bin' and we're encouraging residents to value their resources, giving them a second life by reducing, reusing and recycling. To celebrate and recognise National Recycling Week, Council's waste group, Netwaste, have... developed a game so you can test your skills on what stream different wastes go to. To play along and see how quickly you can sort rubbish from recycling visit https://bit.ly/3lrNpUI #NationalRecyclingWeek #GoBeyondTheBin
