13.01.2022 Following yesterday’s severe storm event, the Parkes Library and Cultural Centre will remain closed while flood damage is repaired. It is anticipated that we will reopen Thursday 7 January at 9.30am - we appreciate your patience while we work on getting our fabulous facility back good as new!

07.01.2022 Congratulations to Grace Hartig from Trundle Central School whose name was drawn from the hundreds of students who contributed to the festive bunting flags that decorated our new Library and Cultural Centre. Grace received a Shop Local Gift Card and Trundle Central School received a compost tumbler bin donated by Netwaste. Thank you to all the students who took part in decorating our beautiful bunting flags!

07.01.2022 Did you know... ...Albert Bollinger, the 26th Mayor of Parkes, was one of four men who were accidentally poisoned. A friend of Bollinger's sons, William Gaudge, boiled some potatoes with water that contained arsenic - enough to kill 60 persons! All four survived the ordeal.
