25.01.2022 How have Christians dealt with plagues in the past? Here's a helpful example. https://au.thegospelcoalition.org//when-the-plague-came-t/

23.01.2022 By now most of you will be aware of the sweeping new restrictions on community gatherings, including religious gatherings and ‘places of worship’. This means that for the foreseeable future we will be unable to hold any face to face gatherings of any kind church services, Bible studies, youth and kids’ ministries. On a more optimistic note, we have begun exploring options that will allow us, at the very least, to continue to ‘gather’ (via the internet) for services of w...orship on Sunday. If possible, we’re hoping we can find some means for our Bible study groups to keep meeting online also. As disappointed as we may feel that our movements are being restricted, it’s important for us to remember that there is a bigger picture here, in terms of the health risk COVID-19 represents for our wider community, and especially those who are more vulnerable. Can we also encourage you to pray for those whose livelihoods are most affected by this casual employees who now now find themselves out of work; businesses that have already been forced to shut down, pr may be forced to do so in the near future; and the front-line health professionals whose job it is to manage this outbreak. Let’s also pray for our government leaders and the agencies that support them, as they seek to make decisions in the best interest of the nation. We were reminded on Sunday, as we looked at Habakkuk 3 together, that the God we worship is in control, not only when things are running smoothly, but also in times of suffering and sorrow and that He can be trusted to work out His good purposes for us as we seek to faithfully serve Him. So let’s keep reminding each other of that reality, as we wait to see how God is going to work our current circumstances for good, and for the blessing of those who love Him.

13.01.2022 Matthew 6:19-21 Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

10.01.2022 For the benefit of those who are wondering about our plans for Sunday: In keeping with the advice we’re currently receiving from government, health and other relevant authorities, at this stage we are planning to hold services at our regular times, to sing, pray, and hear from God's word together. We do ask that anyone who is experiencing symptoms of a viral infection remain at home, and would encourage those who are in a higher risk category health-wise to prayerfully con...sider their decision to join us - but will be taking all possible measures to provide a safe environment for those who turn up. In the rapidly-changing environment produced by COVID-19, and with new directives being issued by government and health authorities on a regular basis, we recognise that we may have to reconsider our decision to keep meeting - but will provide additional updates as they become available. In the meantime, let's keep praying that in the midst of all the uncertainty and anxiety people are facing, our eyes will be open to see the goodness of a God who works all things for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28), and who offers us a security and certainty that extends beyond our daily circumstances!

04.01.2022 Matthew 6:31-33 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
