24.01.2022 If you've had one of the COVID tests where it feels like the probe is going to come out the back of your head, you can appreciate the sacrifice that Parklands staff and students (particularly the young ones who didn't enjoy the first test) are making by going through a second round of testing just days after their first. The Parklands Appreciation Campaign will do what it can to celebrate them and thank them with treats, gifts and goodies when they return to school. Thank you... to those who have already contributed. To make a contactless donation, click through to the MyCause campaign. If you have physical items that you would like to drop off, you can drop them into Councillor Jacob Heremaia's after-hours office at Park Ridge Town Centre at the following times: 5pm to 7pm Tuesday 4 August 5pm to 7pm Thursday 13 August All gifts will be sanitised and stored for 72 hours as per Queensland Healths COVID-19 advice.

02.01.2022 PARKLANDS APPRECIATION CAMPAIGN Parklands Christian College and Parklands Christian Church have been generous providers of love and care to the Logan West community for more than 20 years. Now they could do with some love coming their way. Many Logan West residents have been expressing their appreciation for the way Parklands Christian College has responded so quickly and effectively to this weeks COVID-19 situation. Their responsiveness has surely put the community first a...nd prevented further escalation of the problem. Park Ridge Connect is setting up a PARKLANDS APPRECIATION CAMPAIGN for the Logan West community to donate gifts for the staff and students of Parklands to receive when they return to school. We have set up a MyCause Campaign to receive contactless donations, but if you have physical gifts or other ideas about ways that you would like to show your love to the Parklands community, please contact us at [email protected] to arrange the most COVIDSafe way to do this. Any money raised above what is needed to provide the gifts for staff and students will be donated to the college. https://www.mycause.com.au//parklands-appreciation-campaign
