06.01.2022 The Rocky Burger is our most popular buger! Named in honour of Bulla's (eric) best mate Rocky Thomas who passed away last year. It is our verion of a maccas burger.... beef patty, lettuce, cheese, onion, gherkin with our special home made creamy sauce on a sesame seed bun. I bet the big fulla is having a chuckle upstairs knowing that the Rocky Burger is more popular than the Bulla Burger lol :-)

05.01.2022 After today Bulla and I will no longer be the owners of Parkside Store. We have had the shop four years and in that time we have formed many friendships. We are going to miss our regular customers especially those like Mr Taylor and Ken Limpus who are there every day buying their paper and having a yarn. We have faced many challenges during this time with the kitchen part of our shop catching on fire, floods, break and enters and our family’s constant battle with ill health. ...Despite these obstacles we always forged ahead, with the support of our loyal customers inspiring us to continue. We would like to thank those who have worked for us especially our daughters Karen and Leonie who have worked tirelessly whilst also having a chronic illness. Also our grandsons for helping out and being happy to be paid in chicken and slush puppies lol. And last but not least, our loyal customers for their support. We are all looking forward to relaxing and returning to normal life and doing simple things such as having dinner with the whole family present. The little things that we used to take for granted. There will also be more time for me to go fishing lol. So from the bottom of our hearts, Bulla and I would like to once again say a very big thank you to all of you wonderful people for your faith and support during our time as owners of Parkside Store. <3 <3 <3 See more
