23.01.2022 Impossible to imagine how anyone could allow this view, framed by the branches of a Casuarina tree, to be framed by a window instead, so it could be enjoyed exclusively by a handful of sports club administrators sitting at computers.

21.01.2022 Last night's beautiful sunset enjoyed by 4 groups sitting on the grass looking out to the show from the park

19.01.2022 It appears a Planning application has been lodged (found via a google search as I hadn't received an update despite signing up to do so). Hopefully, there will be further opportunity to register disapproval.

18.01.2022 If you could ask Federal MP Vince Connelly anything about his plan to replace a peaceful public park from which the community enjoy sensational views, with an enormous building resembling a warehouse, what would you ask? Would it be: 1. Was the grant application as full of misrepresentations and fallacies as the Stirling council's Your Say page? 2. Did anyone ask the community what they thought of using a coastal park as the location of a head office?... 3. What was the purpose of your text messages and Facebook Ads for the potential owner of the proposed building just before the council decision regarding the ground lease over this land was due? Or maybe... 4. Does this look like a construction site to you? Please comment if there's anything you'd like to know. Hopefully, our questions will be answered.

15.01.2022 Trigg has had a sunset hill long before Scarborough. Beautiful evening for a picnic in the park last night!

09.01.2022 I counted 32 people and 4 dogs at the park this evening - all watching the sun dip below the horizon while having some dinner. Fingers crossed we'll soon have an opportunity to let the state government know it would a terrible mistake to destroy this place

02.01.2022 ‘Parks not Offices’ is about trying to stop a peaceful coastal park being replaced by a clubhouse the size of 3 basketball courts. Since starting this page and the related epetition one month ago, I have been exposed for the first time to what goes on within Local Council. While there are definitely intelligent, dignified and principled councillors, the poor standards applicable to published information and so called debate are cringeworthy. Please read the non-answers t...o the questions below. Can anyone with more experience in these matters please advise: Is it normal for Stirling Council to either avoid answering questions altogether, or supply incorrect, irrelevant, incomplete information, or, does this behaviour only apply to the Surfing WA HQ building proposal?
