23.01.2022 Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of the oldest and largest national parks in Croatia. The beauty of the National Park lies in its sixteen lakes, inter-connected by a series of waterfalls, and set in deep woodland populated by deer, bears, wolves, boars and rare bird species. Wooden pathways allow you to walk just above the water in this natural wonderland. Read more about Plitvice and other national parks we visit on the Croatian Coast and Slovenia in May this year www.parktours.com.au//eur/croatian-coast-and-slovenia-2020

22.01.2022 Jack, the trusty IPT security dog may be a little grey around the whiskers, but he still looks after the team here at the #beechmont office

21.01.2022 Traditions of Croatia - The Dubrovnik Gargoyle As you enter Dubrovniks Pile Gate into the Old Town, you might notice a bizarre ritual. By the entrance to the Franciscan Monastery, on the main street of Stradun, one person will break off from the steady pedestrian traffic to balance precariously on a stone protruding from the wall. Carved in the likeness of an owl, it is said that anyone who hops onto the gargoyle will be lucky in love! Try it for yourself on our Croatian Coast & Slovenia walking holiday in May this year www.parktours.com.au//eur/croatian-coast-and-slovenia-2020

15.01.2022 Our travellers say it best

15.01.2022 From bushfires to a pandemic - we are living in extraordinary times. As we are all experiencing, the COVID-19 virus has changed the essence of our normal daily lives alongside travel, health and economies across the world. The health and welfare of our clients, staff and on ground tourism operators are our number one priority at this time. For this reason, we have cancelled all tours departing up to the end of July 2020, both here in Australia and internationally. Clients bo...oked on any of these cancelled tours will receive email contact from the office. Most late 2020 international tours have also been cancelled and we are reviewing domestic tours for the end of 2020 as we keep up with government regulations and interstate travel compliance. Following the Federal Governments suggestion for businesses to hibernate, our physical office operations are scaled down and we are working remotely on current tour cancellations and future planning. Due to this, the best form of contact is to contact us on [email protected] rather than phone - we will respond as quickly as we can. Please also keep an eye on our website as we plan for 2021 (lets just say 2020 has been a trial year!) Exploring the wonders of national parks, relaxing in the peace of nature, meeting the locals and supporting regional tourism, has been our focus for 45 years. Like you, we are craving to get back into the natural world and hope that you are managing to stay active in your local area. Stay safe over the coming weeks and months and we look forward to walking with you again soon. Lisa and the IPT team. See more

14.01.2022 Recently, IPT founder Tony Groom, together with Richard Groom, and the current Chairman and CEO of Binna Burra enjoyed a camp out to reflect upon the past and the future of Binna Burra. Well done to the Binna Burra team. We are looking forward to our 4 day/3 night Lamington Short Break in October as we rediscover our love for the park.

02.01.2022 "It is good to have a small log home six hundred yards from the main lodge. People think twice before they traverse the distance to ask questions in the wee small hours; but in the dawning fantasy of reds and pinks over the Pacific Ocean and mist-filled Numinbah Valley, you walk downhill again to another day's work... The people find you and the questions continue throughout the day." Arthur Groom, One Mountain After Another p 168. Join those who have been enjoying the hospi...tality of Binna Burra for over 85 years. Experience the same breathtaking scenery from the cottage terrace that Arthur once enjoyed when you join us on Arthur's Trek from 14 - 18 March 2021 during the Gondwana Festival Sip on an ale from the heritage heart of Binna Burra Lodge, the Grooms Cottage "Bushwalkers Bar" and warm your weary feet by the campfire after exploring the trails of Lamington National Park. Your host, Lisa Groom, granddaughter of Arthur continues the legacy of her family answering questions that have remained unchanged over the generations.
