01.01.2022 *HIT and RUN - Olsen Ave* Hey Gold Coasters, I’m just hoping on the off chance that someone might have witnessed a hit and run crash tonight and might be able ...to help me please. About 8.06pm tonight (Nov 25) I was hit by a car that went straight in a turning lane and sped off. We were side by side at the three lanes turning right onto Olsen Ave from Smith St. I was in the far left lane (where you can go straight or turn right) the other two lanes are turn right only, but the car next to me went straight. I don’t have a make or model or number plate. The car was a gold ish colour. I pulled over after I was hit... but the car had already driven away (straight, back on to Smith St) and no one else pulled over. Extensive damage to a back driver’s side panel of my fairly new Mazda 3. I’ll call police link and my insurance provider in the morning... but with many other things going on right now, it would be great not to be stuck with the excess for something that was not my fault. If anyone saw anything - please let me know. I would be very grateful - thank you in advance. See more
