16.01.2022 I am not trying to make light of our COVID problems. But wouldn't you know it. I really thought I had solved my own personal pandemic by being so isolated that there isn't a virus in Australia which has heard of Kiata or found the way to get here. That may be so but the virus seems to be on social networking and has somehow contacted my savvy possums to get them to do a bit of contract nuisance in the bush. The possum seems to have invaded in response to a COVID request. And ...lo and behold it has multiplied. Either that or it has grown a second small head on its shoulder. That has done it. The possum has totally abused my generosity . All I can think of is disgusting possums doing the wild thing somewhere in my house where I can't catch them. The problem is that because of my own dodgy undercarriage I just don't have sufficient stability or speed to catch the buggers and then when I do I can't aim the blows with enough accuracy or force to land them on a telling part of their furry litle body. I usually end up a couple of inches wide or short. The prick of a thing scurries around underneath boxes of books where I can't reach it and then waits for me to fade into sleep before bringing its shitty little offspring out to teach it the ways and means of how to show disrespect to the big people, in particular, the piece de resistance, Le grand Deesplay of the fur ring while disappearing down a get away. As they say in the classics "plus ca change" . They are driving me insane .I've got to find a solution .Til Then. Au Revoir. See more
