19.01.2022 Fun activities in August 2020 were related to National Science Week (Theme- Deep value: Innovation for the future of our oceans), National Aboriginal and Tor...res Strait Islander Children’s Day where children were fully engaged. Children got opportunity in Cultural Awareness through various engaging activities. Children experimented with natural resources (coconut shells, avocado shells etc.) for sink/float concept and watched curiously when one coconut shell with a small hole was sinking slowly. Children also had fun with paper boats & were finally amazed to see their reflections inside deep blue water. Children were fully involved in creating Ocean Small World, they learnt about ocean litter, removed it, and put in appropriate bins. EYLF L/O 2.2: Children respond to diversity with respect. EYLF L/O 2.4: Children become socially responsible and show respect for the environment. 15.01.2022 Toddler Swallows Glass Stones At Childcare Carla, a 2-year-old toddler picked up a glass stone from an activity set up in her childcare room and put it in the m...outh. The Educator, asked Carla to put it down but didn't remove the toddler from the activity or to check if she had swallowed it. 08.01.2022 At Parnita’s Family Day Care cultural competence and respect for diversity, Principles and Practices of the Early Years Learning Framework are embedded in the c...urriculum. Parnita shares with the children aspects of her own cultural background that provides a depth and richness to their family day care experience. The children have been learning about and actively participating in Diwali, the Festival of Lights, they created ‘Diya’ pictures and enjoyed some dancing to music while Parnita used a multi-coloured lamp to follow their movements.

07.01.2022 After exploring & having a lot of fun with farm animals through art & craft, collage, caring & feeding, taped rescue and finally mud rescue which has enhanced their language, social, emotional, sensory, fine motor & cognitive skills; Today all children loved to move across the bridge and start exploring wild animals :)
