15.01.2022 On 22 October 2018 former residents of the Parramatta Girls Home gathered on site for the National Apology to victims of childhood sexual abuse. In a lasting tribute to those who experienced childhood sexual abuse, Parragirls made ceramic tiles conveying a personal message. To mark this significant occasion the PFFP Memory Project has established a healing garden on site with tiles made by the women bordering its edges.

05.01.2022 Parragirls are looking forward to having a memorial that recognises the abuse that happened inside the former Parramatta Girls Home, built. The final design was announced last year but the building of the memorial has been delayed until two cottages in the front yard of the institution, where the memorial will be located, are demolished. Neither of these buildings have any heritage value -they were residences for the male officers who abused the girls. https://www.centralnews.com.au//parra-girls-say-never-again
