24.01.2022 Council pays tribute to the heritage listed Lancer Barracks on the 200 year anniversary of their establishment in 1820 by the orders of Governor Macquarie. These structures are some of the last surviving of the Macquarie period in New South Wales. To commemorate this historic milestone, City of Parramatta is hosting an online experience, including 3D images of historical artefacts. 01.01.2022 Another great day at the Heritage and Visitor Information Centre as Council continues digitising Parramatta's cultural collections. Photographer Huu Phong Nguyen is visiting us today to begin a digitisation program working with Council's Cultural Collections Officer. Phong brings specific skills in handling and photographing cultural material. We will be sharing some of the great images on our socials and on our website... we'll keep you posted!
