24.01.2022 Let’s talk kids birthday cakes ... Do you make them yourself or outsource? I’ve always felt compelled to make them myself. I love asking my kids what kind of cake they want (and hoping like hell that they don’t pick something too elaborate!)... Now I’m no professional cake maker but I like to think that I’m pretty good at finding an image and then copying it, and whilst a lot of the time it doesn’t turn out exactly like the picture, the look of excitement on their face when they see it and actually identify it correctly is priceless My son recently turned 6 and asked for a Ninja Turtle cake. All the pictures that I found were very elaborate and used fondant (I HATE fondant!). Anyway, this is why I came up with and he loved it! What kid wouldn’t - look at all that sugar!
