25.01.2022 Our new electrofishing boat being built! Electrofishing systems are used worldwide to sample native fish communities and for feral fish control in our lakes, wetlands and rivers! It stuns the fish but does not hurt them significantly! Not many elctro boats around in Austrailia in general!

Landlocked manmade lakes should not be used as fishing grounds as they can have significant impacts on water quality and WA native fish! They make the job a lot tougher on land managers!

16.01.2022 We have been translocating over a dozen stingrays over this month. It has been a stingray month! The safest way to avoid the poisonous spines getting stuck on nets is to use a large container and paddle the ray in to the tub and lift it up on the side of the glass wall.
