25.01.2022 Walking around the headland today after work at 1770. Picked rock fig, everlasting daisy (don't have a clue what the botanical name is!) acronychia in flower, some bottle brush, lomandra and lily pilly from the car park at the newsagents. Acronychia leavis in flower in my creek. Going to give this another go. Tricky little bugger. Joined a grevillea page today too. So many beautiful grevilleas out there. So many people with so much knowledge and happy to share the knowledge. We truly are receiving gifts from the Mother. Get your bare hands in the earth people. Feel the vibrations. Beautiful.

23.01.2022 Last night we were granted 59mm of rain PLUS two full wheelbarrows of rain water! Tanks and pods are full, wheelbarrows and buckets are full...ground moisture increased and the Contemplation Pond I have been digging is full! Wish I had a sludge pump that I could use to keep making the pond bigger while it is full of water. Much gratitude Earth Mother.

23.01.2022 Recently, I filled in a survey for the Gladstone Regional Council. I went into the draw to win a native plant. I actually won something! Unbelievable! And this is what I won! Many thanks to the Botanical Gardens in Gladstone for this precious little plant to add to my collection of natives. I think I grinned all the way home...even through all those road works. Abelmoschus moschatus ssp tuberosus ( Musk mallow).

22.01.2022 If you are after trees this afternoon, I won't be home until after 3.30pm.

15.01.2022 Recently gifted some beautiful specimen natives I am going to grow as Mother trees. How fortunate am I? The bottlebrush are steadily growing and into their second little pots now. I had never grown them before, so I am quite impressed with them. Had some pomegranate and custard apple seeds laying around and thought, what the heck! Why not? And up they came. Some narrow leaved quinines are growing well and the crow's ash is developing well too. Nice to see some different species. The bush is a wonderland. Get yourself out there and have a good look around. So much to see and this time of year is perfect for bush rambling. Watch out for the slitherers! Have fun and enjoy Father's Day.

15.01.2022 Clearing out the shade house. Peanut trees, lime berries, pink limes, quinine, black apple, Crinum lily. You want any? $10 each to good homes only! Home today. Enjoy the cool weather!

13.01.2022 I collected some Crow's Ash from Bundaberg a while back and recently planted the seed. And guess what??? YES!! It is coming up! Very excited!

12.01.2022 Processing Hovea heterophylla seeds. Here are going to be little beauties!

12.01.2022 Love this time of year. Everything has new shoots and root systems are growing through the bottom of pots! Been waiting all winter for everything to wake up. And has it woken up! Will have some trees down at Farm Stuff at Agnes Water in the next week or so, nip on down to check them out.

11.01.2022 New potting bench! Dad built this for me out of recycled timber. Even the screws are recycled! Only thing we had to buy was the ply for the top. My dad is amazing.

09.01.2022 Words won't be able to describe the loss if this old fella gets cut down. The amount of damage to the ecosystem would be unexplainable. Grow and cut renewable timber. No need except for greed, to take a big bloke like this

08.01.2022 So nice to be able to say I am getting low on stock and need another walk up the bush and along the creeks looking for seed. Hope everyone is ok and doing their best to improve their gardens and add more gardens and basically looking after yourselves both mentally and physically. If anybody feels the need for a chat, don't hesitate to PM me for privacy and we can chat about whatever you would like. Love to you all. PS Found a unicorn in the garden this morning!

08.01.2022 Have covered all my seed trays with clear plastic to protect tiny seeds and try to keep them a little bit warmer. At least weed pulling will be easier! Bugger about the hazard reduction burning though.

06.01.2022 Happy Mother's Day to all our wonderful Mums out there.

06.01.2022 Things have been pretty quiet around here lately. Not much going on but the seeds are starting to pop! I have some really sweet little Crow's Ash seedlings sticking their wee heads out now and they are about two inches high now. Very exciting as I haven't grown these before. I even found some old native gardenia fruit on the ground and thought, what the hell. I haven't grown these before either. Wonder if they will shoot? Have put in a couple of Black Beans and some Burdekin Plum and I know I don't grow fruit trees but I put in a tray of pomegranate too alongside some custard apples. They won't be grafted as I have no idea how to do that! But it is fun to see what will come up. Happy gardening everyone. Hope your day is wonderful and full of happiness. Stay groovy!

05.01.2022 38mm of rain last night. Totals?

04.01.2022 This is the ripper little plant I won from the Gladstone Regional Council! Was so thrilled to receive it.
