23.01.2022 Dear Students and Parents, In this critical time, we are waiting for announcements from government officials in the next couple of days to see what may happen. Your teacher will advise you what will happen if there is a lockdown (lesson times will change). We will continue to have lessons but it will be done remotely. Please have access to the internet for video conferencing.... But in the meantime come to lessons as per usual. Regards from us all

21.01.2022 Hello! We will still be open however if you feel like you need to stay home, we have the online lesson option as well. If you do take the in person option, you will be scheduled 10mins away from the previous student in order for us to clean the piano and spray the room with disinfectant.... 19.01.2022 Hi all, With the out burst of Coronavirus recently If students or family and friends having these symptoms please let your tutor know and we will organise lessons accordingly. Signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties.... It may cause: In more severe cases, it can lead to pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death. Time period: Reports say the incubation period of the coronavirus remains unknown, but other sources say it could be between 10 to 14 days.

19.01.2022 Hello all! Due to increased covid cases in our area(s), we will now require all personnel who enter our studios to have a face masks on during the lessons. If you do not have a face mask there will not be a lesson. We have face masks for purchase if you do not have one (or have forgotten to bring one).... If you have any Covid like symptoms please let us know as soon as possible and please get tested where possible. We hope to have minimal disruptions to our lessons. Thank you for your support!

Mendelssohn's Spring Song composed by Felix Mendelssohn around 1842-1844. ... In a letter, Mendelssohn said that some people complain that music is unclear to them; they dont understand its meaning, and words would make the meaning clearer. But Mendelssohn said this: What the music I love expresses to me, is not too indefinite to put into words, but too definite. (Pretty deep!) 06.01.2022 Did you know? The colours of the keys were in reverse during Mozart's time? On modern piano keyboards, the seven "natural" notes of each octave are the white keys and the five half-tones are black keys in between. But, on pianos dating from the 18th century when Mozart was alive, the colors of the keys was exactly reversed: the white keys were black and the black keys were white. This was true not only for pianos, but also for the keyboards of organs and cembalos of the time.... They were the opposite of the white/black arrangement that predominates today. However, when pianos became the dominant keyboard instrument in the 19th century, somewhere along the line, the positional relationship between black and white switched. Why this happened is not well understood, but because visually, the color white stands out while the color black recedes into the background, the reason is said to be because making the half-tone keys that stick out black presents an image of stability to the eye.
