24.01.2022 Hot day today so we took some internal surface temperature readings at 8am and 1pm. The temperature differential significantly increased later in the day. Viridian Glass Australia 8degC temperature differential between inside and outside for the glass is impressive. And 14degC between inside and outside for the external walls!! 22.01.2022 What better way to enter the Christmas holidays and receive an average leakage rate of 0.56 & 0.53 @ 50Pa for each finished house. For a builder who hasn’t built a passivhaus before, or taken the passivhaus tradesperson course they achieved an average leakage of 0.91 & 0.96 @ 50Pa for the preliminary test. With a little help from #airbossdan to find and plug the leaks, and care taken by Thirroul Electrical Services when cutting out the light switches, the Intello membrane remained intact for the final leakage test. Goes to show that an open mind and a bit of care from the construction team can achieve great results. Next, we get some sensors installed to start monitoring power and IAQ.

13.01.2022 Check out this cool Powermesh fan & light wall controller installed in our project. All light switches and some GPO’s have bluetooth connectivity and linked to Google Nest Can be linked to phone app too. Retrofitable to any old fan to make it a smart device!!

05.01.2022 Landscaping and lawn complete, Toshiba Air Conditioners installed by David Aslan air leakage preliminary testing completed and passed, gyprocking commenced, driveway underway. The light at the end of the tunnel is finally approaching.
