24.01.2022 In Christ, we have a life that lives loved in the presence of God. This abundant life requires that I daily, crucify the old, choosing to put off that which is of the old life and maintain the life of the 'new creation' in Christ.

19.01.2022 Register now for this profoundly impacting retreat. Here is an extract from one of the participants: How do I articulate my weekend @ Fathers heart retreat?? Wow! Wow! Wow! And that is an understatement. I have been a Christian for 20+ years and on my life journey so far I have travelled many miles. I have always tried to dot the i's cross all the t's, you know follow the right steps, to the best of my ability. And yes, I struggled with some more than others, but I was growin...g in my faith....so I thought. If a could give you a picture it would be this: I am a plant : planted in God, I am watered but only a little soaks in most of it sits on top and doesn't penetrate the ground, I try to move the plant to other soil that I believe is richer and although I begin to grow & mature I still don't produce as much fruit as I would like, what's missing? Who do I get advice from? I want and desire God's fruit in my life so badly I get frustrated, feel helpless, questions grow: What's wrong with me? Why? What could I do better or differently? Why do I feel this way? Who am I? Can you see a rising pattern here I, I, I. At Fathers Heart retreat, I was able to get to some core issues that I had no idea were affecting my perception of myself and my walk, I was challenged and stirred spiritually yes but I had become so tired and weary, I had been fighting for me for so long, I had a choice to make keep going around the same mountains or try something new, well new to me. When the stubbornness in me finally gave in, I felt a release, let's just say that plant got well-watered and water that went right into the depths of the roots. (aka Sylvia's watershed moment). As a believer I had the knowledge to share and encourage others in how much God loved them, How He only wants what's best for your life etc. etc. help them grow. The block was although I had this knowledge I didn't, wouldn't or couldn't accept this knowledge for myself. On retreat I discovered that I am His beloved, He loves me, I am worth it, I have an Abba if I only choose to reconnect with Him and allow Him to just love me, to actually sit and talk to Abba and develop our relationship as not just God but Abba, sounds so easy, Hey? Yes and no, each new day I need to make the choice to connect with my Abba on an intimate level, to take up my cross and follow Him, let Him take the lead, not me. The benefit of making this decision is that my fruit basket will become full and will never run out because Abba loves me. See more
