21.02.2022 Hello all, Congratulations to Pastora clients Dave and Bonnie Schneider who recently won the Lockhart and District Ag Bureau wheat crop competition with a crop estimated to yield 6.3t/ha. Not only are the Scheider's excellent sheep farmers they have shown that they are cropping royalty as well. Proving Dave is 'The King' in our industry!! At Pastora we made a start to our barley harvest, stripping 170 hectares, yielding 4.8t/ha. With better crops to come, it's shaping up for a great harvest, when the rain clears.

11.02.2022 Drafted some lambs today. First photo is 2400 of them in the yards. Second photo is the young girls back in their paddock of lucerne, rye and chicory.

13.01.2022 Dna tested our lambs today for parentage and did a weaning weight. We came across this one nearly four months old. The average body weight was well over 40 kgs for all the AI lambs, four months old next week.

09.01.2022 Today we drafted the stud ram 's out of the ewe lambs. They were joined for 6 weeks and the rams went in when they were 7 months old.

07.01.2022 This is Fazal Ullah, named by PETA as their "person of the year" for 2018. Animals Australia paid him $38000 for footage of animal cruelty. You may have seen ...it on 60 Minutes. To be sure of getting spectacular footage, they double penned sheep, packing them in tight, then sat back with the camera waiting for the sheep to start dying. If you donate to Animals Australia, or any of the 40-odd affiliate animal rights groups, or attend the anti live export protests, you are every bit as guilty of animal cruelty as Mr Ullah. If you watch Channel 9, and particularly 60 minutes, you helped pay for this. And this is not the first time an animal rights organisation paid for animal cruelty to help the cause. It all started more than 30 years ago with the filming of "Goodbye Joey", where a kangaroo was skinned alive to get good footage of cruelty in order to stop the export of kangaroo products. Next time you see "evidence" of animal cruelty, ask yourself , who paid for it? and be certain it wasn't you. See more

05.01.2022 Last week we shore 1200, 2017 drop ram lambs. These fleeces are a small selection from the shearing. Fleece weights averaged 5.3. Ages ranged from 7 months to 8.5 months.
