Jacob Lorenzo who has autism spectrum disorder wants to inspire people with autism, to explore the world of acting. Jacob first got into acting as an extra in the sci fi flim Occupation, filmed partly in Murwillumbah. ... The movie has ignited his love for the film industry and now hopes to become an inspiration for people with autism. Jacob lives in tweed heads and is currently pursing further roles to enhance his career. He also wants to pursue voice acting due to his love of Disney and cartoons. His influences are David Tennant, Pierce Brosnan, Eddie Izzard, Russell Howard, Andrew Kishino, Tara strong, Eric Bana, Heath Ledger, Jack Nicholson and Bruce Lee. 08.01.2022 Good morning everyone. Today I would like to introduce Wayne Bassett who has secured the role of Mr Gilston. Wayne took his first acting class in 2001, with eccentric Polish theatre director Andrzej Siedlecki and has since honed his skills with courses and coaching from the likes of Chris Sommers, Ben Parkinson, Tom McSweeney and Cinzia Coassin. He has since appeared on TV in films "The Edge Of The World" and "The Sum Of Existence" (very briefly!) in "All Saints" and in TV ad...s. Early highlights included roles on Ben Mendlesohn’s Hunt Angels and playing Stef (Hunger Games) Dawson’s big brother in Empty Places Of The Heart before moving to Brisbane. He won a Best Actor award at NAFA Showfest in Sydney for his first lead role as "Rick " in "The McGuffin Of Love". "Last Drinks", a short film he co-produced, co-wrote and co-starred in, won Best Film awards at two festivals and he was nominated for Best Actor at the Short & Sweet Theatre Festival in 2012. He is currently working on what he hopes will soon become a comedy web series with the working title of Bottle-O or 50 Shades Of RSA!
