20.01.2022 BIRDS- My most favourite organic pest control! Sometimes if feels like we live in an aviary. We are very fortunate to have an abundant bird life on the property. Photographed here is Mini PatchProud holding a young White Breasted Robin. They are always the first ones on the scene of a freshly worked bed. Never too far away when I’m harvesting or weeding. Super curious and ridiculously cute. These little guys are huge helpers, keeping our garden pests controllable and in most cases at bay. I love all the birds here so much.... except the parrots of course, they are just jerks!

12.01.2022 Garlic Scapes I look forward to theses guys every garlic season. They feel like a real bonus crop to me. I love them raw cut up in salads or added to a pesto or fried up into something delicious But even sitting on my kitchen island bench in this jar is pretty bloody amazing too! xxx
