03.01.2022 The talented students at Lobethal Kindergarten have been creating their own shadow stories after seeing Me & My Shadow in Adelaide! #repost @lobethalkindy Lobethal With me and my shadow (last Fridays theatre show) as our inspiration we set up a shadow space. Using an old overhead projector as our light source and some sheer paper as our screen, our children created some of the most wonderful stories. They created scripts, shared their thinking, had narrators to tell t...he story. This was directed and run by the children, they laughed, creatively shared their ideas and enjoyed watching others create a show. They were enthusiastic and eager to tell a story using shadows, they were performers, sharing their literacy learning orally, telling a story from beginning to end, one that builds and grows as its told. I loved watching the children gain inspiration for their own stories by watching others. Seeing them so eager to have a turn, patiently waiting, considering how they could tell their story. It is a great honour to be selected amongst 15 standout productions for the new Showcase in Place at a Virtual Marketplace seen by industry professionals across the globe! Held online between 1 Oct 15 Nov, IPAY 2021 will help to shape a new model for the future of international touring.
