21.01.2022 As you might know I also sew costumes, however this year with covid 19 forced closure I have returned to quilting on the longarm and lots of patchwork tops to be finished. While I was sorting though one box of 20 I found 4 more quilt tops in various stages to be fininshed, so I've added them to my list. I have a special for allover quilting starting at $80 for lap and up to $150 for 80"x80" and over. I can finish your binding for hand sewing finish by yourself @$15.... Or machine sewn binding @$25. Enjoy your day Happy sewing Patchwork therapy "sew relaxing"

06.01.2022 Hi all, new flannel.in stock So I've made up rag edge squares 10" to make cot quilts 30 squares $69 picked up only 3 available or plus postage is $9.00.... All you need to add is the batting. You can use your scraps cut 8" square

03.01.2022 Class 2 Prairie points the easy way The points are cut 3" squares, multi colours. First you will NOT need to press the 3" squares into triangles. Fold over each square, as you start sewing, from corner to corner wrong side together as in diagram C.... Starting with right angle towards the sewing foot, Stitch half way across the triangle (seam allowance just short of 1/4") and slip in the next folded square tucking it under the previous triangle see diagram D. Measuring the strip of triangles against the edge of the quilt and adjustments can be easily made by stretching or squashing the last 2 or 3 triangles as you sew them on. Measurement starts at 3" and each added triangle adds 1.5" approx. Once you have your strips ready flip over the chain from diagram E to diagram F Now I cut a nick at the seam line on each triangle see diagram G Now follow diagram H Fold up the point and lay it on the first point making a triangle, sew just before half way and fold up the next point and continue to the end. Now you can take it to the ironing board and press without burning your fingers. You are now ready to sew these chains to the quilt top and the bottom raw edge must line up with the edge of the quilt top , at the corners you will find that it looks like a mitred corner, the ends of two triangles sides meeting.
