25.01.2022 Visiting the Castle Forbes forest today. This amazing place is home to an incredible ecosystem of trees and wildlife. It is also helping to keep carbon out of the atmosphere. Huon's future is in protecting and restoring forests, not destroying them! Thanks to Yanti and Carla from Defend Castle Forbes Forest for showing us around.
25.01.2022 Pokies do incredible harm to our community. As Member for Huon I would not support the government's legislation to lock them into our pubs and clubs for another two decades. Other candidates need to declare their position on this issue.

16.01.2022 What an incredible journey this has been! Ten months ago we started to build this campaign and since then we have gathered an incredible amount of momentum. We have had dozens of volunteers get involved. We've raised thousands of dollars. We've made more than 1700 phone calls. We've knocked on hundreds of doors. Our message is resonating. People are sick and tired of worrying about when the next fire will come through. They are sick of worrying about how they'll pay the rent,... or what will happen if their hours are cut at work. The Greens offer a positive, inclusive vision for Huon and I am so proud to be a small part of this broad movement. Tomorrow, when people cast their votes, they know there is a genuine alternative to the divisive, conservative forces that have looked after their corporate mates at the expense of everyone else and nature. Whatever happens, I am so proud of the campaign we have run and so grateful for the support we have received. Let's make history in Huon!
15.01.2022 When Equality Tasmania asked if I would sign a pledge not to use or allow hate speech in this campaign, I immediately said yes. I've seen how some politicians and "leaders" cynically seek to divide and fearmonger. It's up to all of us to stand up to hatred and exclusion.

14.01.2022 Here are the facts. I will not support the Liberals' legislation to lock in pokies at our pubs and clubs for the next twenty years. Pokies are a scourge, and as we head through this recession, they will leech more money out of our community. But it seems as though Labor is embarrassed about its new pro-pokies position. They should be honest with the voters of Huon, instead of trying to hide.

Too many people are going without, and the things that make Tasmania special are being destroyed, or sold off to the highest bidder. We deserve better than environmental destruction and inequality. We can provide for everyone, and look after the places we love. We can make our state climate resilient, and better prepared for the future. But it'll take decisions that p...ut people and the environment ahead of profit. My promise to the people of Huon is to be a fierce advocate for a better way, and to never stop fighting so that no one is left behind.
