23.01.2022 ....and here it is all varnished. WHIRL 122 x 91 cm (48 x 36) I think I have fixed up my website so that it is now more compatible with mobile phones. It involved lots of steam coming out of my ears but I managed it without having a heart attack. www.pathallart.com

23.01.2022 I've been working away behind the scenes on a lovely commission - 'JILL'S GARDEN'. It's a combination of some of my client's mother's favourite native plants all mixed together in a colourful and vibrant composition. Included are Gum Flowers, Mistletoe, Callistemon, Banksia, Grevillea and some out-of-focus Wattle in the background. It was a lovely project to be a part of

22.01.2022 Opens this Friday at Lethbridge Gallery in Paddington! There will be an opening event but numbers are limited due to Covid restrictions. Therefore, if you would like to come you must register via Eventbrite (free event) https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/pat-hall-and-leah-thiessen- In Pat Halls sixth exhibition at Lethbridge Gallery, she explores harmonious balances created in nature. Whether it is a field of lotus blossoms following the sun with their gaze, leaves floating ...earthward from an autumn tree, a bud bursting into petals as it forms a perfect flower, or bamboo stems framing shafts of light and dappled shade, her watercolours are captivating. Each painting celebrates a relationship of balanced forces that juxtapose and influence one another. Together, these forces create something more powerful than each individual element: a unique relationship. Thanks Nicky Peelgrane for the blurb Exhibition runs from 3 - 21 July at 136 Latrobe Terrace, Paddington Q 4064 You can see the full collection at www.lethbridgegallery.com

22.01.2022 EXTREMELY chuffed and proud and pleased to be in the final of The Brisbane Portrait Prize with my portrait of Candy Surprise! (Paul Jay) The exhibition runs from 30 September - 1 November at Brisbane Powerhouse. Entry is free but because of Covid restrictions it has to be a ticketed event so you will need to book online. "Celebrating Brisbanes diversity, Candy is a multi-award winning live cabaret and drag artist. Her charisma and wit have taken her to stages across Brisbane..., wider Australia and internationally. From sultry vocals to outrageous comedy, Candy is the definition of a storm in a tea cup." Colour and light are the most important elements of my art. Therefore, when I decided to paint a portrait, I needed a subject that meant I would not have to compromise my style. Candy was the perfect answer; and so much fun to work with! There is also an online People's choice award - so get voting! https://www.brisbaneportraitprize.org//candy-surprise-by-/
