22.01.2022 An informative little video explaining the different needs of an introvert, extrovert and ambivert. Enjoy

22.01.2022 Isn't this the most gorgeous mug! Getting up an extra 15minutes earlier, to enjoy a cup of Rooibos tea, in my new ceramic mug, whilst snuggled in my comfy bed, with the morning sun streaming in the window was a moment of complete surrender. Even though I had all the things to do before work, a busy mental load for the day, week, month ahead, I took 15minutes to just be. ... I read a quote yesterday... "I can be and do- all at once"... "When the brain is balanced, you are no longer bouncing back and forth between being and doing. You allow each action to be expressed from a space of mindfulness, peace, and ease" This resonates with me so much. I feel inspired! What's an action that you can bring into your day, to just be, to assist your brain and nervous system to find calm and ease? Thank you @hattieandthewolf for the most perfect mug Thank you @mattkahn1 for the inspiring mantra and quote

15.01.2022 Rejoice local Ballarat peeps! The weather forecast predicts sun for the next 2 days! Spending 10-20minutes outside in the sun each day, being sun safe, is a brilliant measure to improve your mental and physical health 95% of our bodies circulating vitamin D comes from sun exposure... Vitamin D is an integral nutrient across ALL bodily systems, especially for immune and brain function During winter months, particularly in Victoria, it can be difficult to harness the suns UVB rays for Vitamin D synthesis, leading us to be more at risk of vitamin D deficiency Speak to your chosen health care provider about Vitamin D testing and supplementation, if required. Aim for your Vitamin D levels to be above 100nmol/L Always speak with a qualified health care provider prior to supplementation and seek practitioner quality supplements If you are supplementing, remember to take your supplements regularly! Place supplements near items that you automatically go to daily such as your toothbrush, kettle, or car keys! I place my Vitamin D next to my @ecobysonya glory oil, as I without fail, remember to put my oil on each day, triggering me to also top up on my Vitamin D Ballarat peeps, make the most of the winter sun and Vitamin D, over the next few days, get out in it, even if its just over lunch, to kick your immune system and brain to the next level Enjoy #pathtowell #ballaratnaturopath #ballaratnutritionist #ballaratherbalist #vitamind #wintersun #mentalhealth #immunehealth #healthyinballarat #healthyhubwellnesscentre #healthyhubcafe

14.01.2022 My favourite chicken soup My aim for today was a "Self Care Sunday", and my most favourite way to care for my body and mind is nourishing food. I LOVE soup, especially soup that's easy to prepare, supports immunity and digestive health, and delivers on taste and this recipe covers all of this and more I LOVE good food and the way I feel after eating good food however if I'm honest I unfortunately don't always love to cook, so I'm constantly striving for ease in the ki...tchen, and I have found no easier and stress free way to cook than by using a slow cooker. Do you use a slow cooker? This recipe is super easy: - Place all the below ingredients into a slow cooker and cook on high for 6 hours or low for 8 hours - 1 whole free range chicken, season with salt, pepper, 1/2 tsp. each of dried thyme and rosemary, 2 bay leaves, 4-6cloves of garlic crushed and diced, a diced onion, 3 diced carrots, 3 stalks of celery diced, and 8 cups of chicken stock. - once cooked remove chicken from slow cooker, shred and discard bones, skin and cartilage. - Add shredded chicken back into the soup. Serve with fresh parsley, a squeeze of lemon, and spring onion. Consume and Enjoy the health benefits of this delicious soup #pathtowellclinic #ballaratnaturopath #ballaratnutritionist #ballaratherbalist #healthyfastfood #favouriterecipe #healthyinballarat #healthyhubballarat @ Ballarat, Victoria

12.01.2022 The @thehealthyhubballarat re-opened today after an almost 4month hiatus In creating this Cafe menu I wanted to ensure each dish was rich in Macronutrients - Protein, Carbohydrates and Fats. The quality and quantity of our Macronutrients impacts the way we think, feel, and act Meeting your daily nutritional needs doesn't need to be stressful. When planning your meal aim to have:... 1 palm size amount of good quality protein such as animal meat, fish, legumes or beans 2 handfuls of a diversity of Carbohydrates such as above and below ground vegetables 1 serving of Fats such as avocado, eggs, fish, nuts, seeds and plant oils such as olive or coconut oil Following this basic structure for each main meal is a super easy way to increase your nutrient levels, improve your digestive and immune health thus helping you to feel good This was my lunch today... YUM... my favourite dish on the menu! Salmon Ceviche, Soba Noodles, Edamame, Asian Slaw, Pickled Ginger, Shichimi Togarashi (Nori and seed seasoning), and Ponzu Sauce! Swipe for the other delicious menu items, including a create your own Macro Bowl! 11.01.2022 "Its not about being good at something it's about being good to yourself" I'm making a conscious effort to make space in my day for myself. To refill my cup and to support my physical and mental health. This morning I grabbed my yoga mat, a cup of tea, and headed outside for yoga... The yoga practice was far from perfect, with a rocky ground and dogs joining in, however I felt mentally renewed and ready for my clinic day. Purchasing a gorgeous yoga mat certainly inspires me to get moving. Thanks @yogipeaceclub My beautiful tea is called Ground from @acornandoak_apothecary My yoga this morning was the Detox and Cleanse practice by @ashleymfreeman Ashley's quote of "its not about being good at something its about being good to yourself" felt true and inspiring to me today. To feel ok to move forward, even imperfectly... What's something that you can do, perfectly imperfect to feel better? #pathtowell #ballaratnaturopath #ballaratnutritionist #ballaratherbalist #vitamind #wintersun #mentalhealth #yogaforhealth #herbalteatime

09.01.2022 Are you making time to play? While play is crucial for a child's development, it is also beneficial for people of all ages. Play helps:... relieve stress improve brain function stimulate the mind and boost creativity improve your relationships and your connections to others keeps you feeling young and energetic... "we don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing" How have I incorporated play: last night I turned off all devices, grabbed out a pack of cards and played solitaire today I ran around the back yard playing chasey with the dogs whilst making lunch I put my favourite music on and danced around the kitchen tonight we are jumping on zoom and playing family trivia with friends What could play look like in your life today? Schedule time in the park host a regular game with colleagues, friends, family (on zoom for us Victorians at the moment) play with a pet joke with strangers play with children: my favourite! If you don't have children, neices, nephew's, grandkids will always bring a smile to your face! Zoom and Facebook messenger have certainly been useful during the restrictions. I look forward to playing on a swing, on a beautiful beach, on a faraway continent, again soon

04.01.2022 It's @ruokday today. Currently in Victoria, it is such an important time to ask the question of RU OK? Its such an unusual time, many are facing such heightened challenges.... How we show that we care may look a little different in today's circumstances. Acts of kindness are a great way to start a conversation and show that you are there for someone: In regional VIC we can exercise with 1 other person, adhereing to social distancing and with face coverings. Could you ask a friend to take a walk with you? Could you organise a friend/family zoom chat/ game night. We played family trivia over zoom with friends, it was a hoot. Could you organise a fresh food delivery for a family or friend in need from @wilsonsfruitandvegetables Could you organise a gorgeous cake package from @kitteltys to brighten someone's day Could you sign someone up for an online yoga membership via @ballaratyoga Do you have puzzles, card games, board games, toys that you no longer use that a friend or family may seek joy in Could you drop a home made card in someone's letterbox to put a smile on their face Jump on @delivrfood and choose your favourite Ballarat cafe or restaurant to deliver coffee or lunch to ignite someone senses sometimes the tiniest things can bring joy and hope. This was the only flower, a splash of colour on an expansive green lawn, this lifted my mood, I felt renewed with hope. What could you do today to feel better or to help another to feel cared for? The @ruokday page and website has a brilliant range of resources to support you and the ones that you care for. If you or someone you know requires crisis support @lifelineaustralia has a text support line. This may be an easier way for some to start a conversation. Please reach out if we can support you at all. Stacey
