20.01.2022 At our last Leadership meeting it was decided that worship services at Pathway will start again on Sunday the 19th of July! While this is good news indeed there are a few conditions under which we do so. Here they are: 1. In the interest of maintaining social distancing as we are required to, we will not serve morning tea for the first few meetings back. ... 2. Zoom church will still be available for some time for those who prefer to remain isolated for longer. We will notify you when we stop Zooming. If you intend to participate via Zoom, you can simply tune in the way you have over the past few weeks. 3. Leadership will review this decision when we meet next on Wednesday, 22 July. This may go without saying but if there are any signs of COVID-19 breaking out again, we will need to return to Zoom church. Bless you all! Et (on behalf of Leadership)

11.01.2022 UPDATE Regarding Sunday Services For the next two weeks our services will run 'as per usual' via Zoom. Anyone who wishes to attend the 'Zoom service' at church is more than welcome to do so. At church you will be seated in the foyer, where you can view the Zoom service on a TV screen (apart from the preaching if there is a 'live' preacher). There will be no morning tea after the service seeing as we still need to practice social distancing. Pathway, please be fully assured t...hat I, and all of Leadership, long to see the day when we can see, feel, hear and hug each other on a Sunday at church again. There's nothing like it. For now, we need to balance that desire with honouring the spirit of the guidelines that our government is giving us. The above seems like the best way to do so for now. Leadership will meet again in two weeks time. These things will be reviewed then with communications to follow. The grace of God be with you all. Et (on behalf of Leadership)

06.01.2022 We wanted to let you know that Pathway has a "Covid-19 Safety Plan." In order to start moving back to using our premises (including Pathway House) for groups, ministries and eventually church services, we're obligated to have a plan. What's more, we're all obligated to do our best to make it happen. We have emailed around copies but just let us know if you didn't get one and want to view the plan. We've tried not to over complicate it. It's all the stuff you're very familiar... with by now: hand hygiene, social distancing, no more in a space than four square metres each will allow, stay home if you're in any way vulnerable, get tested if you've got any symptoms, etc. There are some additional obligations on group leaders: if you use the premises your group is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting, be aware of who attended in the event any contact tracing is required, make sure PE is in the loop on who's using our building, etc. There is now flexibility for some to gather on-site at church on Sundays, just let us know if you want more information about this. For now though, our default remains "Zoom-church." There's no intention of rushing back - tempting though that may be.

05.01.2022 Pathway, it's GLS time soon! We'll be talking more details in church and info is in this week's newsletter but here's the registration details for a one day GLS event at Devonport Christian School: https://willow.ucareapp.com/events/379/booknow

We need to keep numbers at 10 people or less. WHAT WE ARE DOING FOR YOU o frequent environmental cleaning o any food will be individually wrapped o dishes will be washed via commercial dishwasher WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO FOR US We need your support and compliance with the following mandatory rules: o following the parameters of social distancing (1.5 metres, 4 square metres each) o hand washing and sanitiser o sneeze / cough into your elbow or a tissue (clean your hands afterwards) o please follow all state government quarantine requirements - Further information is available at www.dhhs.tas.gov.au/ and www.health.gov.au/. Thank you for you cooperation. These are challenging times for all of us and it's important to stay connected as much as government policy allows. Check out the photos for the current program. * In association with Pathway House * An initiative of Pathway to Life Church

01.01.2022 Samaritans Purse is a non-profit, Christian organisation that runs Operation Christmas Child. This is a hands-on way to bless children in need across the world by filling shoeboxes with toys, hygiene items, school supplies, and fun gifts. Boxes are collected and distributed in the name of Jesus Christ to children living in vulnerable situations. Collection month for boxes is October giving Samaritans Purse time to get them in the hands of children by Christmas and this will be happening despite the COVID-19 global pandemic. Pathway participates in packing boxes each year. Boxes and brochures with ideas on how to fill a shoebox are available in the foyer at church. Each box requires a $10 postage fee. Please return boxes to Pathway when filled by mid-October.
