In many regional and remote areas, those Labor voices have disappeared. Politics is at its best when it focuses on policy, amplifies the voices of the forgotten and empowers people. 01.01.2022 After the Senate rejected the NT and ACT’s request to pass euthenasia laws, which included a no-vote from 7 Labor senators, I was asked my thoughts. Simply, I support assisted dying and support the right of the territories to decide their own laws, just like the states. Had I been in the senate, the 36-34 no vote would have been a split 35-35 vote. Thanks to Moya, Mark, Brenda and Kevin who caught up with me in Bundaberg this afternoon. #ThisIsLabor #Pat4Senate
