11.01.2022 I had someone draw my attention to this question and it ran deep How do you rise up from a letdown? In todays society i find more and more people saying build a bridge and get over it or toughen up sunshine or shrug it off and move on but in reality these are not healthy or helpful responses! In my opinion i find that if i allow myself to be vulnerable to the way i feel. ... To feel angry to feel inadequate to feel depressed for whatever reason/ situation that arises and to accept what i feel and let it out.. I personally think taking time to feel your emotions/ feelings no matter the situation is a good start to refocusing yourself for what’s to come. In all honesty you can’t rise from a fall by avoiding the fact that you fell and actually got hurt. If you do so, the pain will pile up and weigh you down at a later time again no matter the situation big or small...Sooooo grieve, cry, get angry, get frustrated, throw confetti in the air if you have too and if you feel the need to scream at the top of your lungs do so!!!... if it helps you feel better than do what you have too to get past it instead of letting it fester. And it does help Not healthy when there are so many people who advise to hold it in and just get over it! You do feel better actually being human and if your surrounded by those who don’t understand your obviously in the wrong circle Empower one another instead of bringing down because when your surrounded by beautiful people beautiful things happen x
