25.01.2022 Dear fellow Residents and friends of the City of Canning I am standing for the City of Canning Council in this coming Council election and need all your support and vote. I have lived and worked in the area of Canning Vale for more than a decade. It was and still is my place of residence since I migrated here in 2004 and I have totally fell in love with this city.... As active Justice of the Peace, I have served many residents in the area and I thoroughly understand the many issues faced by our local residents. I owned and managed two very successful businesses and am also Board member of two not-for-profit organisations. I am dedicated, passionate and have all the knowledge to make positive contributions if elected. Importantly, I will work tirelessly with you to make our city to be an even better place to live in. I stand for you and for: 1. A vibrant Business Community with high level of employment. I will advocate for more support to be given to small businesses. Small businesses are facing very challenging economic environment at the moment and they need all the support they can have from our council. 2. Building of train station in Canning Vale. We need the project to start and it has been pending for far too long. 3. Better roads to reduce traffic congestions. 4. Diverse and active Community and religious groups. As Board member of two not-for-profit organisations, I understand the importance of the roles community and religious groups can play in fostering harmony and creating cultural awareness between various cultural groups. I will fully support and encourage more cultural events to be held in the city. 5. A safe environment for our children and seniors. Please feel free to contact me for a chat on how we can work together to make a better city for all. Thank you for all your support and I shall look forward to being able to serve and contribute to our city.
24.01.2022 Love our City. The City of Canning has committed to a 70 million plan to build new homes and light rail, and to sink part of Albany Highway. Under the 10-year vision, 15,000 new jobs would be created during the construction phase with plans to sink Albany Highway from Wharf Street past Cecil Avenue. Residents will then be able to walk between the city centre and the river.... Our City is transforming and we need able, passionate and committed people to proivde good governance to ensure an even better future.

07.01.2022 Do you know: THE PLANS FOR THE CANNING CITY CENTRE WERE LAST WEEK (FRIDAY 21 JULY) AWARDED THE URBAN DESIGN AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE AT THE AUSTRALIAN INSTITUTE OF LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS (WA) AWARDS CEREMONY. The plan links the Cannington train station, Canning City Centre and the Canning River for pedestrians. Canning City Centre will become one of the most significant strategic metropolitan centres in Perth over the next ten to twenty years. This award recognises the huge potent...ial of the area for the community, the environment and the economy. Canning is a riverine City that embraces the natural environment and intertwines it in our urban landscape. The masterplan is an important part of Cannings vision to create a welcoming and thriving City, The jury commented that the design is thoughtfully borne out of local conditions, an armature of livings streams, streets, and spaces and represents an important step towards the future for Canning City Centre. The City has budgeted $70 million over the next 10 years to develop the Canning City Centre and competitively position the City as one of the most exciting and important regional hubs in Perth. With its proximity to the Perth CBD, public transport and plans for an additional 10,000 new dwellings by 2031, the Canning City Centre is set to take off, City of Canning Mayor Paul Ng said. The first stage of the City Centre Plan has begun with Stage 1 being the Cecil Avenue West redevelopment and is due to be delivered by the end of 2018. I strongly believe our city, the City of Canning, has got a great future. It needs to have good and dedicated people to provide honest and good governance to ensure the plan is executed efficiently. I will work hard if elected to make positive contributions to see the plan through. Source of the news: City of Canning Council

03.01.2022 Dear fellow Residents and friends of the City of Canning. I respectfully seek your support and vote. I am standing for the City of Canning Council (Nicholson Ward) in this coming Council election and need all your support and vote.... I have lived and worked in the City of Canning, in Canning Vale for more than a decade. It is still my place of residence since I migrated here in 2004 and I have totally fallen in love with this city. As active Justice of the Peace, I have served many residents in the area and I thoroughly understand the many issues faced by our local residents. I stand for you and for: 1. A vibrant Business Community with high level of employment. I will advocate for more support to be given to small businesses. Small businesses are facing very challenging economic environment at the moment and they need all the support they can have from our council. We need to create the conditions and environment to drive growth and promote innovation and entrepreneurship, which enables talents and businesses to flourish and thrive. A thriving and vibrant business environment will mean more employment opportunities for our local residents. 2. The Building of the long-awaited train station in Canning Vale. We need the project to start and it has been pending for far too long. A train station in Canning Vale will provide the vital link for our locals to travel to and from other cities. It will also commute more people from other cities to our Nicholson Ward. This project needs to start. 3. Better roads to reduce traffic congestion along Nicholson and Ranford roads. The current roads are just not adequate to accommodate the increasing traffic volume. The situation will get worse with more houses expected to be built in Southern River, Harrisdale and Piara Water areas. We need to plan ahead to resolve the traffic issues.
