22.01.2022 With isolation easing, hopefully soon our Pink Lotus crew will be back where we belong on the water For the past few weeks, we’ve been catching up at our hom...e base (PATTERSON LAKES CANOE CLUB in Carrum) and getting some exercise by walking along the river and spending time catching up again. Anyone interested in seeing what our club is about or finding out more about dragon boating is welcome to come down on any Sunday (weather permitting) at 9:45 and join us. Until we are able to get back on the boats, if you have a spare few minutes grab yourself a chair and practise the paddling technique at home. 19.01.2022 Join us for a paddle this year but not a race. At our last club meeting, CBCC made the difficult decision to not run the 40 Miler canoe race this year. Despite ...the steadily improving Covid situation we wouldn't have been able to run our usual race this year and with training opportunities diminished for many paddlers the distance would prove a stretch for many of our usual participants. However for those who are keen to join we are still going to do the course in some form or another as a club on Saturday the 12th of December. Our intention is to start in the morning and have a great day as we do every year. As we get closer we will let those interested know more details about what the plan is based on the restrictions are at the time. We look forward to seeing you all on the water as soon as possible and hope to be back and racing in 2021
