24.01.2022 Good morning good people. Tip for the week time. Remember the Simon and Garfunkel song "Slow down you move to fast." Well that is my tip. Slow down your thoughts, slow down your actions, your breaths. So much beauty is missed when you lead your life as a means to an end. If you are a bit late and are driving somewhere, tailgating will not get you there faster. Especially if you end up in an accident. Anyway a lot of people drive slower if they are being tailgated. Settle back and enjoy the drive. Take large calming breaths, relax your shoulders, your jaws. Put some calming music on. When you walk take time to notice nature, the sky, people's gardens. So many people create lovely areas for themselves to live in, take notice and enjoy. There is so much beauty in the world. Go out and enjoy it by noticing it. :-) Talk soon.

In your esky if you are out in the sun. Another quick reminder to watch our thoughts. Your thoughts unchecked turn into emotions, your emotions unchecked turns into a mood, your mood unchecked turns into an attitude, your attitude unchecked turns into a personality trait. 20.01.2022 Good afternoon good people. A bit concerned about ticks at the moment. I have been pulling a fair few off people lately. People who have been complaining of head aches and tiredness. Some are smaller than a freckle. If you are out in the country or even holding a dog or cat. Please be careful;. Might be worth spraying yourself in insect spray. Same as mosquito bites. Don't be casual with these insects. Lyme's disease, Ross river fever and even Genghis fever are rife at the moment. Please be careful. Take high amounts of vitamin C so if you do get sucked upon by these nasty bugs you have a fair chance of staying healthy. Talk soon. :-)

20.01.2022 Good morning good people.Last tip of the year. If you have not started yet take vit c and a multi b. Keep in fridge. If you are taking them, good on you take a bit more than usual. We need to get ready for any abuse we may give our bodies for the New Year parties. If you do nothing else as a New Year resolution start taking vitamins. Take with food. 19.01.2022 Good morning good people. Happy spring to one and all. Take time during your day to breathe deeply and slowly and have a good look around you. Notice things, small things, all things. Tiny little purple flowers hidden in the grass, tiny rainbows in dew drops. A wondrous world it is. Take a little time to play, maybe a jigsaw puzzle or board games. Bring out your inner child and enjoy each moment. Don't see your day as a means to an end. Stay in the present moments with your thoughts as much as possible and enjoy each moment for what it is. 16.01.2022 Good morning good people. Just some thoughts on thoughts. It is so hard to keep our thoughts quiet, sometimes it is hard just to keep them positive. If this is the case at times don't beat yourself up over it, just accept this. For the moment. Be aware of your thoughts and don't get lost in them. Don't react to them. If you are not feeding them by reacting either physically or emotionally, with time they will dwindle away. Taking good deep breaths and concentrating on that, helps you to stay in the present moment. It is a beautiful world. Enjoy your life each moment at a time. Talk soon. :-)

15.01.2022 Good morning good morning good people. Another splendid day on the Coast. Hope everyone is in good health and spirits. Tip for the week time. Sprouting your green lentils before you eat them is a great idea because this makes them a vegetable instead of a starch. More vitamins and easier to digest. A better food to combine with proteins. This is how you do it. Put lentils in a large glass of water. One third lentils two thirds water. Leave over night. (Make sure the containe...r you use is not a jar or something that goes inwards at top. Otherwise the lentils may be hard to remove once grown.) Next day empty water. Give the lentils a quick rinse in the glass. Leave for another day and rinse again. Lentils may be grown enough now or you can leave one more day. You may cover with glad wrap and put in fridge for storing. Great additive to salads. Can be used in patties or curries. Give it a go. Talk soon. :-) See more

15.01.2022 Good morning good people. Day three of tips on feet. I hope up till now I have been explaining this information well for you. Best shoe award for me goes to Masseur sandles. You can order these through the chemist. There is a type of shoe Adidas puts out which is similar. They have all the little bumps on the inner soul which help aid the circulation of blood and lymphatics in the feet. They also have a Velcro top so you can adjust the size so they are not too tight. These sh...oes take a bit of getting used to but well worth it. Foot spas are good. Add some tea tree oil to work as an anti fugal treatment. Always remember to dry beneath the toes and in between them thoroughly. Get them massaged regularly. I am here when needed. :-) Advice on plantar warts tomorrow. 15.01.2022 Good morning good people. Happy New Year. Looks like it is going to be a beautiful year. Has great energy. First tip of the year. Come on this health journey with me. Hehe. To treat a cold sore that is already there. Rinse with salt water and apply some Zovirax. This ointment is great. You can apply when the sore is just an itch and most the time it will not even turn up. To PREVENT a cold sore eliminate grain food from the diet. Take regular Vit C and Lysine. Eat two eggs a day( this is a great source of Lysine). Keep your face shaded from the sun and out of the wind. I wish everyone a healthy and happy New Year. Talk soon. :-)

14.01.2022 Good morning good people. A good way to get rid of a plantar wart is to starve it of oxygen. Place gaf tape over the whole area and a bit over the top of your foot to help it stay on. Replace every day after scrubbing foot clean in shower. Do this for one month. After a while of this you will notice the wart softening, can be scraped off a bit with a thumb nail. Talk soon. :-)

When you are cleaning around the house or garden make sure you swap hands regularly so that you work out both sides of your body evenly. Some examples, Swap vacuum to other hand often, same with raking the garden or leaf blowing. Sweeping, cleaning windows and benches all can be done swapping sides. Talk soon. :-)

10.01.2022 Good morning good people. Tip of the week time. A lot of people have cut a lot of salt and oil out of their diet, this may not be the right thing to do. First, get your doctor to check your salt levels you may be too low in salt. This will stop water from being taken into the muscle cells. This can cause dehydration and muscle cramps. Taking all the oil out of your diet can cause you to be low in fat soluble vitamins. A D E and K. Talk to your doctor. Your doctor can also test for food allergies. Note well, if you are not eating the type of food you think you may be allergic to at the time of testing it will not show up as being harmful to you. Talk soon. 07.01.2022 Good morning good people. Been a while since we talked and for that I apologize. Been sorting out some words of wisdom for you all. Lets see how I went. It is about our thoughts and how we could gain more control over them and how that can help us. I am going to put a small amount of information out over the next few days. Thoughts can be fun. They can carry us away. Who doesn't like a nice day dream. But when that dream starts turning into a nightmare that is when we have ...to be aware. We have to wake up out of our thoughts. It is when we do not that the health of our bodies and the health of our relationships with others suffers. Some people love to encourage their own bad thoughts. Sort of addicted to them so to speak. I have some people come in for a massage and the first words that come out of their mouth is "What a horrible world." I ask them where they live? How can it be horrible. It is the News they say. Are you aware of your thoughts? Do you like to watch the News and complain about the world? If so how does it make you feel physically while you are thinking them? That is all for today. Become aware of your thoughts and how they make you feel. Remember, a thought can make an emotion. Remember that we can have control over what we think. Create good thoughts, create a good day. 07.01.2022 Some of my clients have had nausea and other stomach problems that I will not go into, so just a quick message to those that have water tanks on the coast here where we have not had much rain. As the water levels drop the water is not as fresh and clean. Some have had a fill up from the water truck which has stirred up the bottom of the tank. Even though the water may go through a filter it should be then boiled before being drank. Talk soon. :-)

06.01.2022 Good morning good people. Sorry it has been so long since I gave you some health tips. Better late than never so here I go. If you get in and out of a chair many times a day make sure you use your legs alone. They are strong and can handle it. If you use your arms repeatedly to get out of a chair you are putting your arms shoulders and neck under more pressure than needed. This may cause sore neck and shoulders. :-) Talk soon. :-)

04.01.2022 Good morning good people. There is a great new pod cast by Eckhart tolle called "Staying conscience in the face of adversity." Which has been a great comfort for me personally and I hope will be to you. Never a better time to read "The power of now," by the same person. My work is cancelling underneath me like many others. My heart goes out to all. I was going to sign off today but decided not to. Hopefully I can still be of some help through these times, some comfort. Please feel free to add some words of wisdom and comfort to each other through this page. A lot of us are isolated, including myself, we have to remember each other and keep contact. 03.01.2022 Good morning good people. Tip for the week. Three things food combining correctly can help with. Losing weight, gaining weight and preventing indigestion. Fruit should be eaten on its own. Don't even mix fruits. Within one hour you may eat something else. Starches and meats should not be mixed. Chew well and after you eat relax to allow the stomach time to digest your food a bit. At least half an hour. Your digestive tract needs blood to do its work so if you are active phys...ically the blood will be needed in the muscles, thus no proper digestion can take place. Remember to control portion size. If you eat too much the acids in the stomach can bubble up and burn the esophagus. When you combine foods badly, no matter portion size the same thing will happen as fermentation takes place. Bubble bubble toil and trouble so to speak. Enjoy your food don't suffer from it. 03.01.2022 Good morning good people. Tip of the week time. There are a lot of women telling me they are using coconut oil to moisturize their skin. They tell me this after I have pointed out that their skin is dry. This says to me that this is not working. In my beauty therapy studies I was taught that skin needs oil and water. This is why cream exists as a good moisturizer. It is a mixture of both. My tip is to rub your oil,(and I think light olive oil is a better choice than coconut) into your skin while slightly warm and wet from shower. Your pores will be open from the heat and the water will be rubbed into your skin. Towel off any extra oil. Enjoy. Talk soon. :-)

02.01.2022 Good morning good people. Tip for the week. When you are working around the garden and house keep swapping which hand you are using. This works both sides of your body. When you are standing don't lean. When you are sitting don't lean. When you are sitting don't cross your legs or ankles. Keep strong on both sides. Talk soon. :-)

02.01.2022 Good morning good people. Tip of the week. Popular belief for treatment of new bruising or sprain is to ice. Though this is true there is more to it. Say you look at a new injury in your body the same as an explosion in your street somewhere. Initially the whole street will be closed down. This is what icing does. At some stage though the street will have to be opened to let in ambulances, fire engines etc and injured people will have to be removed. Then it will be closed dow...n again for safety, to be reopened again intermittently. Say you have bruised your knee. Initial icing is important to stop congestion in the area. By congestion I mean red and white blood cells rushing into the area and causing swelling. Soon though heating should be applied to open up the area. This way dead cells can be removed and white blood cells will enter to do their clean and repair work. Red blood cells will bring nutrients and oxygen. Then the area should be iced again. Shut it down to reduce swelling or congestion in the area. This process needs to be repeated. If you just keep ice on the area for too long the unaffected cells, healthy cells will start dying off from lack of fresh blood flow. Making the injured area bigger. Basic rule is ten minutes cold then ten minutes heat. For small lightly fleshed areas reduce the times for each. I hope I have managed to explain this clearly. Have a great day. Remember to put sun screen on the back of your hands and fore arms before you go driving. The sun is magnified through the glass. Keep a hat in the car. Get used to putting it on even if it is for a short time. Sometimes we are out in the sun longer than we think or are expecting to be. Stay safe and stay cool. Talk soon. :-)
