25.01.2022 I have been asked by a number of people to share the rather disturbing video here from last weeks ‘dispute’ at prepoll, between the current MP and voters about the closing of the mental health ward at Redland Hospital. However, much as I am sure most people have already seen it on Channel 7 News, in line with our stance from day 1 to not get involved in this sort of negative posting, I wont be sharing it here. It does however highlight just how important it is that we elect an INDEPENDENT to make sure that the Hospital spending promises from both sides, are not only carried out but are carried out without negatively impacting current hospital services. VOTE 1 PAUL BRANAGAN - INDEPENDENT

24.01.2022 Even dummies know it makes sense to vote independent! VOTE 1 - PAUL BRANAGAN - INDEPENDENT

24.01.2022 Today is your last chance to vote for change. So please VOTE 1 PAUL BRANAGAN INDEPENDENT for more local jobs and the upgrade to our infrastructure we so badly need. I look forward to seeing you at the polls!

22.01.2022 More spending on roads promised in today’s’ paper - but yet again not for Capalaba! I applaud either side promising to spend on any part of Old Cleveland Rd, but why is it never in Capalaba! Taken for granted for too long! Vote 1 Paul Branagan INDEPENDENT

21.01.2022 Remembering Daniel and supporting the foundation today and always. Are you going to vote for someone that supports the immediate setting up of a register of convicted child sex offenders in Qld? Or are you going to vote for the current MP who voted against this in Parliament?! VOTE 1 PAUL BRANAGAN INDEPENDENT

15.01.2022 Prepoll is open till 9pm tonight at 26 Redland Bay Road, Capalaba so come on down to say hi and have your say. VOTE 1 PAUL BRANAGAN INDEPENDENT and at last lets get the action Capalaba deserves!

14.01.2022 While the major parties spend their time, and your taxes, fighting each other, why not vote for an INDEPENDENT that is all about more transparency in Government, more integrity from your representatives and more action for CAPALABA? After more than 10 years with no major spending by EITHER party - what have you got to lose? VOTE 1 PAUL BRANAGAN INDEPENDENT

14.01.2022 31st October is your last chance to make a REAL difference for the next 4 years! Your last chance to make sure Capalaba actually gets what it deserves: * MORE LOCAL JOBS * INFRASTRUCTURE SPENDING TO CUT CONGESTION... * AIR CONDITIONING FOR YOUR KIDS THAT ACTUALLY WORKS! * A DAM WITH ACTUAL GATES!! * A REAL SAY ON TOONDAH HARBOUR Only an INDEPENDENT will deliver for voters and not be dictated to by a political party boss. Don’t look back in 4 years and think ‘why did the hospital upgrade promise not happen?’ No more undelivered pre-election promises. ITS TIME FOR ACTION IT’S TIME TO VOTE 1 PAUL BRANAGAN INDEPENDENT

14.01.2022 New Greater Brisbane Covid rules, to include Redlands, come into place at 6pm today. (These have been revised down as there has been no recent community transmission of Covid in SEQ and are scheduled to be in place for 10 days.) You must carry a mask at all times. Masks must be worn in indoor places including shopping centres and supermarkets, gyms, places of worship, libraries, public transport, and taxis and rideshare vehicles.... Masks must be worn in workplaces if social distancing isn’t possible and it’s safe to do so. You don’t need to wear a mask in private vehicles, while outdoors at a safe distance from other people or if you’re doing strenuous exercise. Businesses and venues can have one person per 4m indoors and one person per 2m outdoors. Smaller venues up to 200m can have one person per 2m up to a maximum of 50. You must be seated to eat and drink, and no dancing is allowed except at weddings. Gatherings are restricted to 20 people in homes and public spaces. Weddings and funerals can have up to 100 people, and dancing is allowed at weddings without restrictions. Indoor concert venues and theatres can operate at 50% capacity or one person per four square metres, whichever is greater. Outdoor stadiums can operate at 50% capacity with COVID-safe plans. Restrictions on visits to hospitals, aged care, disability accommodation and prisons will remain. Stay safe.

10.01.2022 I have to agree with ToondahFriends about the lack of transparency around how Toondah came to be 'supersized' from 1000 units to 3600 units?? Perhaps our current Labor MP could explain how that came to be AFTER he was elected? For instance, a simple question - What additional benefits are we getting for the additional 2600 units? And why are the LNP so in favour of this too? It's time for more transparency in Government. It's time, as one voter put it to me today, ''to keep... the ba-----s honest!'' It's time to VOTE 1 PAUL BRANAGAN - INDEPENDENT See more

09.01.2022 With only a few days left to go in the campaign its time to recap on why we need an INDEPENDENT that can work with either an ALP or LNP Govt for the good of this electorate: ** Grow local jobs quickly with an easily deliverable plan. ** Cut traffic congestion by delivering the Eastern Busway and upgrading our ‘misery’ rail line. ** Ensure existing hospital spending promises are carried out by either party!... ** Get real, working, aircon for every classroom by cutting off the aircon to every MP’s office until its done. ** Fix Leslie Harrison Dam. Capalaba can’t afford 4 more wasted years! VOTE 1 PAUL BRANAGAN - INDEPENDENT

09.01.2022 Why vote Independent? Because local voters are currently taken for granted. * Neither party will commit to build the Eastern Busway (I don’t count feasibility studies as they don’t get you to the city quicker!) * Neither party is interested in upgrading the single Cleveland rail line (which was built over 130 years ago!). Meaning we don’t get to benefit from the $6 Billion Cross River Rail project. ... * Neither party has committed to fix the Dam (again I don’t count endless feasibility studies!) Redlands City doesn’t even get treated separately in the Qld Government budget (when they eventually get around to having one!) It’s time to send a message to whichever party wins this election that Capalaba voters count. It’s time to vote for an INDEPENDENT that will work with the ALP or LNP for the good of the local community. It’s time to VOTE 1 PAUL BRANAGAN INDEPENDENT

04.01.2022 How has this animal been allowed to leave prison? A GPS tracker might help the police apprehend him after any future attack - but it wont stop the attack from happening! Don Brown MP - how do you sleep at night knowing you voted for scum like this to not have to be on a sex offenders register? Words fail me......

04.01.2022 At Capalaba prepoll, every day I am asked about Toondah. Although not the biggest issue for Capalaba voters, many are still worried about the size of this development, a lack of transparency around it and the zero commitment by State Govt to ANY improvement to our infrastructure to support it. As the gateway to the Redlands, the impact on Capalaba traffic will be huge. So, if you are concerned about Toondah at this election, there is only one voting option VOTE 1 PAUL BR...ANAGAN INDEPENDENT. If elected, I am committed to immediately launching a formal community consultation on Toondah, so that we are ready to address voters’ concerns once it goes before State Government. What’s the alternative? Labor and the LNP are in favour of the 3600 unit development and the Greens are preferencing Labor so a vote for them very quickly becomes a vote for Labor and therefore a vote for 3600 units at Toondah. At this election, if you want to see transparency around Toondah, and have a say in how and if it goes ahead - VOTE 1 PAUL BRANAGAN INDEPENDENT.

03.01.2022 Another QLD budget and another year without any specific budget for Redlands we are just lumped in with the greater Brisbane area. Does anyone really believe that if Government spending here was as proportionate as it should be that it wouldn’t be more transparent? Redlands deserves better!
