23.01.2022 Having cake & eating it too: what to do with a spectacular view? Floor to ceiling glass? A deck? Why not both? Especially when the views are this good! Cylinder Beach in the foreground, Shag Rock & Moorgumpin (Moreton Island) beyond at #nannygaibeachhouse. ... #pbarchitect @hlarchi

21.01.2022 En-suite snapshot at #nannygaibeachhouse. A balance of warmth and raw materials with views that connect to the setting, weather & season (but not the road just outside) for Emma, Monty & Family. #pbarchitect Tiles by @elitebathware_tiles ... 21.01.2022 It was a privilege to be a part of this wonderful tour & showcase some of our work!

18.01.2022 Meaningful connections: looking through the building from the street to the water beyond. #nannygaibeachhouse #pbarchitect

12.01.2022 Shaun Lockyer recently coined the phrase "Sympathetic Neglect" in reference to Minjerribah’s (Stradbroke Island's) built culture. Join Shaun and colleagues, Pau...l Butterworth and Justin O'Neill as they have a chat with (**new chair) Sarah Briant of Quirk Architecture about the island-specific evolution in building. 11.30am 12.20pm (AEST), 6 November Online free and live, or in person in the Brisbane City studio. Minjerribah (known as Stradbroke Island) architecture is maturing. Without doubt, a community of island-sensitive architectural crafts people, many now locals, has made an impact. Counterculture, the absence of uber sleek giant spaces, and the honesty and intimacy of smaller timber spaces all articulate Minjerribah's old and new school. 12.01.2022 Our recently completed #nannygaibeachhouse at #straddie viewed on arrival from the street. Large sliding doors stack behind walls on both sides to offer an unimpeded view of Cylinder Beach & the Coral Sea beyond. Stunning views are therefore shared (not privatised) with the added bonus of people looking at the view are not distracted by the building. The building therefore acts as a landscape frame & is not mistaken for a centrepiece. The setting is what’s important, & more...over how a beautiful home responds to its setting, as well as being a wonderful place for our clients, their family & friends to enjoy! #pbarchitect by @christopherfrederickjones

10.01.2022 A bit windy, but always worth it!

06.01.2022 On the drawing board: new discreet #beachhouse design for our lovely clients B&A at #straddie. Existing pandanus trees are retained as a natural portal to a new protected courtyard space for group gathering. Bunk rooms, bush showers, weathered hardwood & lasting memories at #onemooloomba. #pbarchitect... @hlarchi See more

01.01.2022 Only 1 sleep to go until the @brisbaneopenhouse Minjerribah Tour 2020 where I’m privileged to show intrepid visitors through the award winning Corymbia house at #Straddie with co-hosts Shaun Lockyer @shaunlockyer & Justin O’Neill @oneill_architecture. My warmest thanks to our generous clients & owners Nick + Margaret (who will also be there to make sure I don’t rabbit on too much!) & Ann from BOH for organising the event. by @christopherfrederickjones #pbarchitect #corymbiabeachhouse #brisbaneopenhouse
