We own various real estate and related companies and employ 11+ emps and most them are women with kids. Whatever decision you all want to make around residential tenancies/rent etc please keep in mind the ripple effect this will have on the industry, people who work in the industry (Predominantly women dominated especially Property Management) and the landlor...ds. Banks aren't waiving repayments so the same should apply for tenants. If you are going to release a package for wage assistance then I'm fully supportive of the measures you are putting in place but my humble request is for the scheme to include mandatory rent payments of some sorts where applicable. 03.01.2022 Overcoming fear of the unknown. This invisible virus has certainly affected many livelihoods, including some of our tenants and landlords equally. Our property management department at Paul Flynn Property Group were dreading to see what the rent arrear figures would look like when tenants are no longer able to pay rent. ... And to our pleasant surprise, 97.2% of ALL of our 350+ tenants paid their rent without any adversities. This is also due to the fact that our highly experienced management team guided many of the tenants to the right assistance channel before adversity hit. This is great news - this means many are still working and praying that everyone else can get back to work and businesses soon. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Our property management department? Our gears have shifted to the next level - ensuring the promise we made to our landlords that their investment properties are in safe hands - is honoured.
