Catherine Mahony of Newcastle and Marlena Katene from the Gold Coast will spend three months working in a regional ABC bureau to develop their storytelling and content-making skills.... Let's do this together

23.01.2022 Peter Dutton's criticism of his opponent, Ali France, accusing her of 'using her disability', shows that we drastically need more awareness around disability issues in government. Vote for me, vote for Paul Larcombe - your QLD voice in the Senate. https://www.abc.net.au//peter-dutton-criticised-f/10997832

23.01.2022 Our prayers and thoughts go out to the families impacted by the horror of the massacre last week, both in New Zealand and here in Australia. We stand with you against violence. Hate kills. Racism is wrong in any form. We should embrace all peoples and except their differences as the fabric of life. We have a world that is displaying moral bankruptcy in its worst form. We stand with you in this difficult time.

22.01.2022 A great day with Queenslanders with Disability Network yesterday, with Chairperson Nigel Webb at the Brisbane Support Group! A vote for me is a voice for all! Head to my website www.paullarcombe.com.au to donate or volunteer

22.01.2022 Australians are traditionally cynical about politics, disillusioned, increasing numbers of us have turned our backs on the whole thing but that doesn’t fix anything, it just makes things worse as more selfish idiots fight for the helm. It’s time to re-engage, get involved and give our nation a great future. It’s time the silent majority got re-engaged with their community and the politics of this nation. It’s no use blaming others or the system if you want change - get engaged and make it happen. Don’t be silent anymore take your political system back. Get busy-the foxes are in the hen house. Join with the campaign to put Paul Larcombe in the Senate, make a stand for your future and the future of your children.

21.01.2022 A BLACK budget for Disability: The budget is back in black, according to Treasurer Josh Frydenberg who delivered his first budget on Tuesday. But the social sector has lashed out that it was a lost opportunity to tackle poverty, with welfare, foreign aid and housing some of the biggest losers on the night. Disability groups have welcomed the federal government’s $528 million pledge for the disability royal commission but say a multi-billion dollar underspend of National Disab...ility Insurance Scheme funds in the budget is a national disgrace. Despite infrastructure coming out as one of this year’s federal budget big winners, spending around social and affordable housing barely made mention, leaving community housing and homelessness groups reeling. Welfare recipients are again one of the biggest losers in the budget, with the federal government failing to raise Newstart and moving to save billions in welfare payments by automating income reporting. People with disabilities and all vunrable Australians are forgoten again. This is why we need a sweeping broom for the Senate. A vote for Paul will make a difference in the Senate. Paul will not be silent when our leaders make such shameful dicissions about us without us.

21.01.2022 As promised, here's my interview with Vision Australia's Talking Vision! Tune in to hear about my motivations to enter politics> https://radio.visionaustralia.org/talking-vision

20.01.2022 This election is about OUR future, not the future of our political parties. Vote Independent. Vote for Paul Larcombe - YOUR QLD VOICE in the Senate. Here's why> https://youtu.be/JvS_orCGvnU

18.01.2022 Toxic words and bully behaviour If the national conversation is such that the authorities cannot tell the difference between the terrorists and the leaders of our great country then how do we tell the young people of today to stop being bullies, when we do the exact opposite. It is about time we started being the change we wish to see in our youth. Bullying and racism are not acceptable at school and it should not be acceptable by those chosen to represent this great country.

18.01.2022 Last Friday, I was lucky enough to attend the Make It Work forum, discussing the NDIS and what we need to do to ensure it works. As a senate candidate, I'm determined to be your voice and make the NDIS fulfill its potential. Take a look at the story and head to www.paullarcombe.com.au to join my campaign.

17.01.2022 A victory, at least in the short term! This is a fantastic result for people with disabilities in Queensland, with the Taxi Subsidy Scheme to continue. A big congratulations to everyone who made this happen.

14.01.2022 If the Government scraps the much-needed taxi subsidy, people with disability will be stranded. We MUST keep it. Sign the petition and let's ensure people with disability have an easy and accessible means of transport.

13.01.2022 I'm speaking to all of QLD tomorrow, joining the Steve Austin show ABC Radio 612 at 4.05pm! Tune in to hear my vision for QLD Let's get the word out. https://www.abc.net.au/radio/brisbane/

12.01.2022 The NDIA CEO resigns to work for a company that plans for 20%+ of its income to come from people with disability, while pwd have to wait 2 years for a wheelchair!? We must address the turnover in key positions within the NDIA and fix long wait times for pwd.

11.01.2022 The Australian Electoral Commission has warned that, if completed, these forms will not be sent directly to the AEC. Be cautious!

10.01.2022 NDIS underspend, they are fiddling with the money they promised us. JIM CHALMERS - Shadow Finance Minister speaking on SKY NEWS AM AGENDA "It was a $3.4 billion under spend this year, and it's forecast to be $1.6 billion next year - it could be bigger or smaller than that. That is an enormous amount of money, and the main reason for it is because people are being forced to wait longer for the care that they were promised. This is a disgrace and we should not be excepting it.... People with disability and their families have been short changed by this Government. $1.6 billion of the surplus a quarter of the surplus is actually based on people with disability. It is taking funds. It is taking resources. It’s taking hope from people with disability. - Linda Burney (Shadow Minister for Social Services)

10.01.2022 WHO IS PAUL LARCOMBE? Please go to this link and find out what Paul is standing for. http://www.paullarcombe.com.au/ Paul is a tribute to courage and resilience. He was born blind, but it went undiagnosed until he was almost 8. At age nine he was sent to Sydney alone for assessment and treatment as part of the far west Children’s program. It was there that he was beaten and sexually assaulted. No way to start a life, but Paul is made of great stuff. He has survived and gone o...nto a life of unselfish service to others. Now he wants to take the next step as an independent senator for Queensland to help bring integrity, honesty and common sense to our Parliament. To serve you, not himself, to be YOUR QLD VOICE IN THE SENATE. A vote for PAUL is a voice for ALL.

08.01.2022 So the race is on and I am ready to be your QLD voice in the Senate! Vote for the Blind man, Vote for Paul Larcombe, YOUR Voice in the Senate. Rhett and I are ready to go - but we need your help to get over the line - support someone whose only responsibility is to be your VOICE in government. Let's get things done, together we can do anything! http://www.paullarcombe.com.au

07.01.2022 Bhutanese family who are model citizens and who have lived in Australia for 7 years are to be deported because one son is hearing impaired. Outrageous! Heartless, discriminatory government deporting the disabled - see ABC news story on line! This is why I am standing as a Qld Independent for the Senate - this government no longer represents my values or true Australian values we hold dear!" We spend hundreds of thousands of dollars separating to Bhutanese Siamese twins - and ...what a great story - but then try and deport a Bhutanese family who've lived here in regional Australia as model citizens for 7 years because one child has a hearing impairment! Disgusting! Disgraceful! https://www.abc.net.au//deportation-looms-for-wa/10957590

06.01.2022 The bigoted rhetoric in Australia fans the flames of extremism. This national conversation and media exposure shows how the right wing political groups would help put more powerful weapons in the hands of extremists. This shocking news comes in the wake of the Christchurch mosques attack, where 50 Muslim men, women and children were gunned down at prayer by a white supremacist. How long do we, as a nation except a risk to our national harmony and integrity? How can a politica...l party who votes against foreign donations to our election processes then seek $20 million from the US right wing gun lobby - what HYPOCRISY! One Nation seeks right wing foreign money to dump our Australian gun laws. When is IT enough? When are we as a nation going to say no? Our leaders need to develop a moral backbone. Let us stand against this. Vote out these right wing extremists! See more

03.01.2022 In thinking about the election and our future, I would like to share this with you... Australia is one of the wealthiest nations on Earth, and yet those in receipt of social security experience among the highest poverty levels in the OECD. What use is our wealth if we can’t give a dignified life to people with disabilities, to single parents and their children, to our First Nations people, and to those who are unable to find work? Whoever wins the upcoming federal election, it is time for a root and-branch review of our social security system. We cannot continue to kid ourselves that we care about the ‘‘fair go’’ if we don’t get this done. - Emma Dawson, Executive Director of policy think tank Per Capita. Head to my website to join our campaign. A vote for me is a voice for all> http://www.paullarcombe.com.au/

02.01.2022 I was recently interviewed by Queenslanders with Disability Network, telling my story and sharing what I think needs to be done to the NDIS - to make it fairer for all. Thank you, QDN! Please read, like and share if it resonates with you, and head to www.paullarcombe.com.au to join my campaign. Together, we can make a difference. https://qdn.org.au/qdn-member-profile-paul-larcombe/

02.01.2022 Did you watch Q&A last night? Treasurer Josh Frydenberg struggled to answer questions from a young audience because five years of inaction doesn't give you the answers or the right to govern. After five years, it's time to move away from the infighting and negativity. Give your vote to QLD Independents who believe the only voice that matters is yours! https://www.abc.net.au/qanda/2019-04-08/10960690
