25.01.2022 I couldn’t have said it better myself, Hugh. Thank you, Hugh Jackman, for getting behind WA’s film and TV industry this will be an absolute game changer for WA.

22.01.2022 This morning I was joined by some big names - including Tim Minchin, Ben Elton and Kate Walsh - for a big announcement. But the fact is, having a world-class fi...lm and screen studio here in WA will mean so much for so many people right across our State. Many Western Australians work in the Arts, and this will mean that the sector can continue to grow in new and exciting ways. It will bring national and international talent to WA, bringing new exposure for everything we have to offer. It will mean more projects for local actors, writers, directors and crews - and opportunities for them to learn new skills and put their work on a global stage. And with more work on the table, it will be easier for those artists to base themselves in WA. It will bring more activity to other parts of our State as well - making it much easier for productions that need a combination of on-location and studio shooting to be made in WA. As we've seen from the recent productions which have been filmed in our regions, these projects bring activity, business and opportunities for the towns they visit. By showcasing our State's diverse and unique beauty, more local productions can also mean more tourism for our State in the years ahead - supporting businesses right across WA. The studio is also a substantial construction project, and will create jobs for local workers over the coming years. But most importantly, the studio will mean more Western Australians can tell West Aussie stories to the world, and show everyone why we love our State so much. So while this studio might mean we see stars like these on our screens, a thriving local film industry has the potential to mean so much more.

14.01.2022 If you want a Government that makes WA jobs and health its number one priority, That has a plan to reduce east coast FIFO, that will ensure WA jobs go to Wester...n Australians first, That makes training affordable so that everyone can access opportunity, A Government that will build METRONET, and manufacture the trains locally, That will invest in better hospitals and better healthcare, That will build the new Women's and Babies Hospital, That supports our regional communities, If you believe that WA deserves an experienced Government, dedicated to fairness, opportunity and creating prosperity all across this great state, That’s never afraid to stand up to Canberra, If you want to keep WA strong, The best and only way to do that this election - is to re-elect this WA Labor Government.

12.01.2022 Tune in at 11:30am this morning as I officially launch our campaign for re-election, and outline how my team and I will keep WA strong.

09.01.2022 We went to the last election with a pledge to put WA Jobs First - and we delivered on that commitment. We promised to create 50,000 new WA Jobs - and despite th...e pandemic, we have created over 63,000 so far. But the need for new, quality WA jobs never ends, especially as we recover from the pandemic. I want every Western Australian to have the confidence that they can and will find a fulfilling career here in our State. That's what my wife and I want for our children, and I know parents all over WA feel the same. So it's time for a new plan that’s crucial for the prosperity of Western Australia. Today, I can announce that, if re-elected, we will build off the 63,000 WA Jobs we created and we will create 125,000 more. Our plan is based around creating new industries; investing in training, tourism and agriculture; constructing METRONET and manufacturing the railcars right here in WA; and maximising local jobs and reducing interstate FIFO. Our WA Jobs Plan may be bold, but it is most importantly responsible, affordable, and deliverable.

07.01.2022 Western Australians, this is my promise to you:
