23.01.2022 Scott Piper - LNP for Hinchinbrook is tackling the issue of crime in Deeragun (north Townsville) head on with the commitment of a new police beat. It was fantastic to join him yesterday and learn about his plans to address this issue for locals.

22.01.2022 I was honoured today to officially open Ipswich Assist’s new office in South Street, Ipswich. Over the last 12 months, Ipswich Assist has helped over 2,850 people with food parcels and to pay bills. They also provide a deeper level of support to address any underlying issues. The expanded space at their new premises will allow Ipswich Assist to increase their efforts to support members of the community with emergency relief, including through their ReSTORE supermarket whe...re people can purchase food at a very low price. I pay tribute to the amazing staff and volunteers who are the heart and soul of this incredible organisation. I encourage everyone in the community to get behind Ipswich Assist. They make sure each dollar goes a long way and they give help in a way which preserves the dignity of everyone seeking assistance. Ipswich Assist Mayor Teresa Harding - Ipswich City Council

20.01.2022 With honour they served. Today on National Police Remembrance Day we honour the sacrifice of fallen officers and pay tribute to their families. ... Their legacy will be forever remembered.

19.01.2022 Attending the 79th memorial service of the Fall of Singapore to Japan in 1942. We remember those who lost their lives in the battle for Malaya and those who suffered as prisoners of war. We also reflect on the 2nd/10th Regiment from Queensland, where the average age of those serving was just 21 years old. Senator Senator James McGrath - Fighting for Queensland gave the keynote address. Also in attendance were Cr Angela Owen - Councillor for Calamvale Ward and the Honourable... Jane Prentice. I was also pleased to meet three generations in the Salvation Army Band: Bevan, Russell and Lachlan Luhrs. Bevan was telling me how he played the bugle at the Shrine of Remembrance in 1956 whilst in the RAAF. Lest we forget.

19.01.2022 VOICES OF TULLY: Great night in Tully with Senator Paul Scarr, my fellow candidate Nick Cuda - LNP for Hill and the local community. We shared further insights... with the connection between our federal and state LNP, whilst giving the community the opportunity to provide valuable feedback from the grassroot level that should be listened to. 18.01.2022 It was an absolute pleasure to be shown around Mareeba by our excellent candidate Nipper Brown - LNP for Cook today. We paid a visit to Piñata Farms where Stephen and his son Ben grow Pineapples. Keep an eye out for their ‘Honey Gold’ variety of Mango also that is said to be one of the sweetest out there!

13.01.2022 Great to be with Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack MP in Ripley this week, discussing the Morrison Government’s successful HomeBuilder grant.

11.01.2022 A research paper released by the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) has confirmed the Morrison Government’s JobKeeper program helped to reduce total employment losses by at least 700,000. The RBA also found that overall employment losses would have been twice as large over the first half of 2020 without JobKeeper.

10.01.2022 Great to be in Canberra again! This week the Morrison Government is working hard on assisting the economy, as we continue to work our way out of the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes the first Pfizer vaccines arriving in Australia this week. Access to a vaccine will be provided to all Australians on a free and volunatary basis. We will also work on increasing security at airports and martime ports. There will be an important debate about academic freedom. This is a topic I am very passionate about and I look forward to contributing to this important discussion that impacts all of us.

10.01.2022 Mackays Group have been supplying Australia with Bananas for over 75 years. It was a real privilege to see their operations first hand today with Scott Piper - LNP for Hinchinbrook and Nick Cuda - LNP for Hill. The farm we visited produces nearly 1.2 million cartons of bananas each year. We were inspired by their work in the agricultural industry which is of so much importance not only to those in the Tully region, but the wider Queensland community as well.

10.01.2022 MOOD FOR CHANGE: Out door-knocking today with Senator Paul Scarr (yes it was hot) but the Senator saw first hand the strong mood for change in Townsville. After the last 5 years of inaction by Labor on crime, our city definitely wants change on October 31.

09.01.2022 I am pleased to announce over $5 million in Federal Government funding for projects in the Somerset region, including $2 million for this section of Lowood-Minden Road. This project will improve road safety and productivity and provide much needed local jobs and support for the local economy. Jim McDonald MP Somerset Regional Council

09.01.2022 Great to be with Garth Hamilton - LNP for Groom at pre-poll in Toowoomba!

09.01.2022 A friendly pit stop along the Bruce on the way to Tully today with Nick Cuda - LNP for Hill. Thanks to Denis and the team for the refreshments!

08.01.2022 It was an honour to represent Prime Minister Scott Morrison (ScoMo) at the Federation of Indian Communities Diwali event at Brisbane City Hall. The Diwali Festival celebrates the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, knowledge over ignorance. I spoke about the light that has shone from the heart of the Indian Australian community through this year by giving support to those in need. In particular, the assistance given to international students. It was great to see... David Crisafulli MP, our new State Opposition leader, who spoke movingly about the links between Australia and India, including fighting side by side at Gallipoli. Congratulations to my good friend Shyam Das, President of the FICQ, and his team for organising such a great event! Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland (FICQ) | Australia Cr Kim Marx John-Paul Langbroek

08.01.2022 Great to be at pre-poll for our terrific candidate, Garth Hamilton - LNP for Groom. Garth has got real world experience, which would be an invaluable asset in Canberra. Garth would also be a strong voice for the people of Groom in the Scott Morrison Coalition Government. Today I had the pleasure of working alongside LNP volunteer Lisa, before this weekend’s by-election.

05.01.2022 I was delighted to represent Prime Minister Scott Morrison at the Diwali Festival of Lights at King George Square. The Brisbane festival, organised by the Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland (FICQ) | Australia, marks the time of the new moon. Diwali carries an important message for people of many faiths, allowing light to dispel the darkness. This year, Diwali's message has a special significance. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we have supported each other, encouraged each other and stood with each other. There is light ahead, there is hope. Today's festival was a wonderful celebration and it was an honour to represent to be part of it.

03.01.2022 My vision is to make Queensland the economic powerhouse of Australia once again; the best place to get a job, get ahead and raise a family. Our plans are big and bold but we have to plan for the future and only the LNP has a plan for Queensland's future.

03.01.2022 As stated in the Courier Mail, it was great to meet with health, education, defence and IT specialists in Springfield last week with Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack MP. The Deputy Prime Minister was also shown the big plans in store for Springfield, including a new $20 million hydrogen energy storage system. $20m hydrogen power play for southeast https://www.couriermail.com.au//8aba152a3f249083ccc4250241

03.01.2022 I’m out with Natalie Marr - LNP for Thuringowa this morning door knocking and talking to residents in Kirwan (West Townsville). Natalie is a passionate advocate for her community and will draw on her previous experience as a local councillor to be a strong voice for the people of Thuringowa.

01.01.2022 It seems to me that Albo needs Queensland more than Queensland needs Albo. During his visit earlier this month, the Opposition Leader reiterated the Labor Party’s desire to abolish the important Australian Building and Construction Commission (ABCC), which have been instrumental in holding to account the lawless construction division of the CFMMEU. I took the opportunity in the Senate this week to state why this would be a bad outcome for Queensland.
