24.01.2022 We don't see the world the way it is we see the world the way we are. The way we think about ourselves and feel about ourselves influences how we see think and feel about the people we meet



20.01.2022 Self Soothing is the ability to be with yourself, your emotions & your sensations in a way that is calming to your nervous system (and therefore, healing) Sometimes we think as long as we’re ‘feeling our feelings’ that we’re healing. But the way in which we feel our feelings is really important. When we get lost in the intensity of the feelings and don’t know how to really be with them effectively, we lose out on the opportunity to cultivate a safe relationship with ourselves.... This safe relationship with ourselves is the foundation for being able to have happy fulfilling relationships in the future.

19.01.2022 Our REALITY is a REFLECTION of our BELIEFS! Whatever we say reflects our beliefs and becomes reality. Coke/alcohol tastes better than water.... I couldn't do..... if my life depended on it. Everyone else is luckier than me. Nobody ever listens to me. That good thing would never happen to me. All these are tapes we play in our heads or out loud creating our reality now or in the near future! (Saying positive things we don't believe doesn't change anything) WHAT LIFE ARE YOU CREATING FOR YOURSELF?

16.01.2022 MIND YOUR LANGUAGE... Have you heard this said to you before? Some have heard this as a child when they swore or were impolite in the presence of adults! Sadly nobody told us to "Mind our language" when it comes to our inner thoughts, the dialogue only we get to hear in our heads! ... Language has the ability to improve or subtract from the quality of our life! Someone recently said to me" I was late again! As they continued to tell their story they casually mentioned in passing that they were not really late because the person at the other end was not there, and that nobody , not in this instance nor in the many previous instances before, nobody has told them or even mentioned anything about it! What we tell ourselves has a way of making us focus more on those negative things we tell ourselves and make us ignore or not see the positive things about ourselves and around ourselves! The things we tell ourselves, especially if they start with"I am" imprint more in our minds until they become our identity, who we think we are. (Stupid, clumsy, lazy, dumb, boring, late). Even the jokes we make about ourselves in public can become the things that keep us from success and happiness because the brain cannot tell a joke from facts. It registers everything as facts! What we are told in jest or in anger by parents, peers, friends , teachers, colleagues, unless denied and confronted on the spot will become the things we tell ourselves and sometimes even what we tell others about ourselves, because we become convinced that's who we are. What if we could start to mind our language? In what area of your life would you most like to " Mind your language"? Marriage, career, personal growth, relationships, finances?



10.01.2022 Procrastination. Overwhelm. Self Sabotage.....not good enough... 4 years ago these words were not even in my vocabulary. Now I have been educated as to what the...y mean and I finally realized why I was triggered when I heard them. They all make you feel not good enough, not up to the standard, not reaching your potential...according to whom? I watched a friend go out and make a new friend because that is what they decided they wanted to do and was very successful. Why is this interesting? Because the same person had felt for quite a while that they are not good enough because they are not doing this or that or the other thing because they felt they "should" (this word messes us up the most) Then I started thinking of my own life. When I wanted something and I decided to do it because it fitted my dreams,needs or desires and my values, I was successful every time. There was no "procrastination" , there was no "Self Sabotage", there was no "Overwhelm". These words are tools that good sales people use to make a sale, to make you feel that what you are and what you are doing us not good enough so you need to buy this book, this online program, go to the workshop to become better, all the while telling you to work on accepting yourself as you are and to know that you are good enough! Language can be used against us and for us. If language upbuilds us and helps us feel good about who we are and what we are doing then it is used for our benefit. When language is used to make us feel like we are missing out on something, inadequate, not quite up to the mark, it is used against us by the people who will then take advantage and sell us stuff we may never use or on-sell.
